No tape; just regular manliness (with some womanliness points for at least trying to use the instructions.)
Excellent start. Post your shave, with pics, on the Straight Razor section. https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/what-straight-razor-did-you-use-today.35281/
I changed the transmission in a stripper's pick up. Then wiped my hands off on my shirt. No wait. That wasn't me. I'll keep working at it.
I bought, delivered and setup a power reclining chair for my wife's grandmother who is in Alzhimers care. I didn't mind doing it, and I'm happy she is happy, I just wish my sister in law and her husband cared enough to at least OFFER to help . Even with my bad back, and twisted hip I still got it to her. (I know it isn't right to complain about others, but when it comes to family I take it personally)
I finally heard SWMBO tell me that I ACTUALLY loaded the dishwasher correctly! I knew all those days of playing Tetris would come in handy.
I pinned a straight razor this morning and have the blade going straight (no pun intended) down the middle, which can be a challenge.
Finished building a shaving brush as a gift. Repaired a speaker (it had a tear in the paper cone) in my son’s console stereo and temporarily wired them up to test their sound. All sounds good; Thursday I’ll see about permanent wiring them and start the wiring on the turntable.
Bought a (possibly unnecessary) portable generator against the possibility of the Jersey Shore getting hit by another Sandy.
I honed two 100 + year old Straight Razors today, and shaved with one i had done a full on restoration on. Perfect shave.
