I have that same airline set. Mine in not that complete or in that good of shape although the razor is in great shape still. As far as the B1 that is beyond a bargain. Will be fun to see how it cleans up!!

I'm curious to see how the B1 cleans up as well. It looks a bit rougher than my other one, but that may be the tarnish.

What I really need is some advice on how to clean up and recondition the leather case.

 

My case is also in sad condition. I do not know anything about that stuff.

Assuming it's leather and not a man-made imitation, I'd start with Saddle Soap.That will help to remove dirt, and may soften the dried leather.
You might finish with Mink oil or a similar restorative / waterproofer.

Finally I tried a KAI Blade, to answer your question about thickness of the blade, well here goes, just by looking and holding the blade to me I didn't notice any difference.
But when I loaded the blade in my Dart razor i noticed it was a bit harder to twist the handle to tighten it up.
I'll see if it was my imagination when I load another blade.
Can you tell me if these KAI Blades have any markings, my blade is blank on both sides.

A mystery double sided hone that really looks like a coticule. I was able to get it pretty cheap so it’s worth the risk even if it’s not what I think it is. Worst case I end up with a stone for knives. So we will see
