  4. Gem Featherweight Razor
    Gem Stainless Blade
Vintage Made Rite #15 Boar Brush
    Love My Skin Spearmint Soap
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Lucky Tiger Aspen After Shave

For my last shave of SEptember, I chose this Gem Featherweight razor. Even though I've had it for almost two years, I don't know why I never used it. And I can say that won't happen again as it gave me an excellent shave. Two passes with a little touch up for a very smooth and comfortable BBS shave.

  5. Today's shave was with a "Professionally Honed" Razor. Thank you @gssixgun . I had a nice smooth 2 pass shave, with minor touch-ups around the chin, that left me BBS. This was a cheap looking "Plated Razor", but underneath the plating was a fine shaving blade, waiting to be discovered.

Razor- Plated(Formerly) "The Palmer 41" Chicago. Probably a promotional razor for the Palmer Hotel, in Chicago.
Brush- Wilkinson Sword Boar. Made in Solingen Germany. Third shave, and only 1 hair shed.
    Soap- Arko/Sandalwood scented
    Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice

  13. SEptember is a Stirling month!

    September 29
Razor - Type M Schick Injector
    Blade - [IMG]
    Soap - Stirling Ozark Mountain
Brush - Stirling Pro Style Synthetic
    Finish - Alum

Next to last shave for SEptember and I stayed with the Schick M. It's still performing smoothly and effectively. And, it's the first razor I ever shaved with back as just a wee lad so it does have a special connection for me. I used the Stirling Ozark Mountain and now smell like the place I used to live. Love it! I did catch a small nick on my right jawline. Pretty sure I was just not paying attention and got in a hurry. It sealed up before I was totally rinsed and dried so no worries.

One more SE shave for the month and it will be off to open comb land! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  18. Ok, that is some creamy looking suds and a dangerous looking blade.
  19. Last night’s SOTD:

First outing with Wickhams Buddha Wood. Nice soap and balm with a great scent.

First outing also with a Yaqi Mysterious Space Tuxedo Fan knot. There’s no glue bump in this knot and whilst it worked well it was much ‘springier’ than I would have liked. For the price, though, it’s an excellent brush.

Second outing with the Rocnel Elite and I remain impressed with it. This is a very smooth razor. No blade feel and a really efficient shave.

I used some Trumpers skin food as a pre-shave as I was given a sample with a recent purchase. I’ve not used it for years as I never found it to be an effective AS Balm. It’s okay as a pre-shave but is nowhere as good as an pre-shave oil.

Overall the results were good and it was an enjoyable shave.
