Very nice, Joseph! If I could score some vintage soap, at a thrift store price, I would use it!

    Awesome! Happy Anniversary as well!
A few years ago I saw a couple boxes of vintage Williams in an antique store tucked into a Shulton mug. They wanted $10 for the mug and 2 boxes of soap. In my ignorance, I thought ‘why would I need that’. Sigh.

Joseph @Primotenore - make sure your heirs understand the value of that Vintage Williams. Even if they are Wet Shavers, we in the community don't want those pucks going in the bin because "it's just some old soap".

I saw the Vintage Soap thread, voted, and am considering my response. For those that haven't tried it consider this; Next time you are thinking about the latest Artisan product go to the bay and look at the VW market. They got it right back then and it still lathers great today. I was fortunate to pick up most of a stick from a thrift/antique store for a couple bucks. If I found vintage pucks in boxes for less that the going prices (no less than US$15.00) I'd dip into the grocery money knowing I could flip em. Even better I'd use em!

    Razor: OCMM
    Blade: GEM PTFE (3rd use?)
Brush: Ever Ready w/ 24mm Tuxedo knot
    Soap: Dr. Jon's Conquest
    Post Shave: Cold water rinse

Decided to come back to the OCMM today! I have started doing a N-S pass followed by a S-N pass for my two passes. I actually started this with the Schick and it is clearly a good thing for me. Even though N-S is XTG/ATG on my neck, it actually seems to respond better to that pass being done first. Strange. Anyway... 2 passes, no touches led to mostly a DFS. Could have touched up the jawline/upper neck with a bit of j-hooking, but why bother?! Followed by a cold water rinse and no need for any post shave care.

    Enjoy your shaves gents!

I haven't found anything that comes close to the post shave feel! It's a bit of a monster if you're not careful, but my god does it give a good, long lasting, smooth shave!
