Adam, Based on your pic I can see that the top cap is not closed all the way! No wonder you are struggling with the MonoBilt a little. It takes some good technique to pull off a shave with an uneven gap! Nice commentary on the lime scented products!

Well, that would explain why I have had such a struggle with this razor. I had one shave with it that was amazing. The rest of been challenges. I will run it again on Saturday, and actually trim the blade and oil it up before then.
Thanks! That was turned by someone who only made brushes for a couple of months. Its a heavy handle, with a 24mm Envy White knot. Its one of two badgers I have, and it has a lot of backbone.
    Thank you!

I'm quite happy with my ears and my nose thanks! In all seriousness... I'm not sure that I can be bothered with all of the hassle of maintaining a straight... They are beautiful, terrifying and wondrous (sounds a little like my wife!), but I quite like binning a blade and switching it out when it's done!

It's not Palmolive though! 49p per stick!

It's OK to call it blooming. ;)
I vaguely recall searching for and finding out the discontinuedness of Stephen's Lime. I'm happy with my candy sweet Pinaud but I'd try others.

I've been loading from pucks in tubs followed by this method. Maybe I need to try face loading from a stick, or a puck!
Tallow, lanolin, glycerine - check. A review reads."It's very similar to the Palmolive, albeit with a different, more masculine scent." I like Palmolive stick lather. Can you describe the scent of Wilkinson Sword Stick?
    +1 Grade A enabling!

You don't need anything other than Palmolive! Or is it PalmoLOVE?

    OCtober 1st choice OC

    RazoRock WTP Lime Burst
    The King badger brush
    Gillette NEW bar handle
    Rapira PL - 4th use
    Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC
SOTD 10182018.gif Another lather with the new to me Lime soap. Better overall as I load heavily and gain skill at face lathering. The blade continues to give good smooth error free reduction. Three passes with little catch up clean up needed. DFS or better and no irritation from either the soap or blade. Tried my other lime scented AS - the citrus is there but the musk is quite forward. Described as "White Musk" meaning clean rather than dirty animal, and artificial instead of naturally sourced.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

Thanks Rick, to my nose its a very light herbal sort of scent, perhaps with the tiniest touch of bergamot.

PalmoLove is quite different and mostly used by unmarried men and teenage boys. :happy102:

I have and like Palmolive too. Although I think I paid the same price for my Palmolive stick as the Wilkinson Sword.
