Thank you! Hearing that means a lot to me.

Part of me kind of enjoys picking up lots that have bits and pieces of razors and putting them back into usable shape. I got lucky with the last lot and ended up with a couple of nice New razors that I ended up PIFing last month. (Believe it or not, I really don't try to keep too many of a particular razor type around.)

The Techs end up being a bit of a mixed bag at times. All shave very well, but some aren't worth the effort it would take to rehome them.

Yeah, but I think @Pete123 plans to substitute peanut butter for shave cream. Nothing beats Peter Pan crunchy for post-shave skin conditioning.

 

I've heard that you can buff all day with the Vector with no ill effects.

Taking a step back, I should probably ask myself “How in the world did I become so entrenched with a group of guys who think finishing a sample tin of shaving soap is worth commenting on and/or celebrating?” Like I said, should. Meanwhile, all I can think of is “I wish I was like Charlie and had finished a shaving soap sample today. That would be a HUGE accomplishment!”

Yes, I do know some of the history. This came off of a Civil War gun. I'll do a little research and try to come up with more info.

 

How do you like the toggle, Brian? One went up for sale today and I considered buying it and having it refinished just to have one. Then I thought this would be stupid and a waste of money. I know it’s even more stupid to ask this question to a master enabler who has already cost me some coin, but what say you?
