direcional boring unit operator/ electrician. We mainly install piping for fiber optics backbone lines for a few communication companies, and a lot of subcontracting for the rail road companies. 460179F1-9652-4850-B703-A5F7DEFF51E6.jpeg

It’s always different scenery, and sometimes very challenging with the railroad bores, very little room to get from point a to b with avoiding the existing track wires and utilities.

That what is interesting is how that bit is guided.

The guidance is all based on clock position. The bill on the tip of the head is angled so it can be steered, based on where the locator man decides for the path.

My son is service manager at local European car dealer. Mercedes,Volvo,BMW et al. My dad was also mechanic for a long time at Ford dealership. What a change in that profession over the years. I wish I had the aptitude for it.

    Highjack, sideline, goosechase time.
I was driving a mow rig in central florida, and passed a one legged man pushing a mower with three wheels(designed for 4), up a hill. I stopped and began a conversation. He hired me to take care of his yard. I did, for five or six years, til he passed away. His niece gave me two razors, an aristocrat and my barbasol floating head. All that time, he never failed to call me kenny. Which is not, or near, my name.
    Moral of the story,
    Somebody always has it worse.
Smile and say thanks, you may get willed a nice razor or two.
Call me whatever, just not late for supper. Lol
Please return to thread topic, lol.

I've been retired since 2012, but I'm a mathematical statistician by training. I ran the Advanced Analytics Group for a well-known polling company in Princeton, NJ, and managed every Presidential poll from 1984 to 2012. Prior to that I did statistical consulting for a consulting company based in Philadelphia, Pa. I currently am a very part-time adjunct Math Professor for a small libereal arts college in Philadelphia.

Wow, Gary, that's impressive. I've always admired professionals in the therapy field. How many years have you been in practice?
