Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Gillette Platinum Plus
    Razor: Schick M1 Adjustable
    Brush: Stirling Kong synthetic
Soap: Country Club for Men Cahaba Blues
Post: Witch hazel, Jeeves of Hudson Street Tobacco Bay Leaf aftershave

Fine shave this morning with a Tobacco Tuesday setup. I'm working to finish off the Cahaba Blues. Terrific soap that has worked quite well for me over the past three years. This was my first artisan shave soap and I used it and alternated with Proraso when I first started DE shaving. This has stayed in my den and it'll be finished soon.

Last week I helped our middle school bands out at their assessment and today is our turn to go. I'll take two field trips today with my two concert groups. It'll be a long day but also fun. The students have worked hard. We'll see how the ratings fall but as long as they go and do their best I'll be pleased.

    Have a great day!

    Blade: Astra SP (2)
    Brush: Switchback/Omega boar
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: B&M LGC
    Thayers Lavender witch hazel
    PAA Star Jelly unscented
    AS: B&M LGC

    Good morning!

Three pass with light touch up, near BBS. Silent alum. Near perfect shave to start the day! Perfect lather with a super smooth razor. B&M provided a wonderfully slick lather that was applied with the Omega boar that feels well on it's way to being broken in. I'm clean, refreshed and smelling pretty.

    Have a great day! [IMG]

I attempted to cut my right earlobe off, but after experiencing the sharp, stabbing pain, thought better of it.

The blood was minimal, but most def to be noticed and addressed. I didn't have to resort to the styptic pencil,
    Alum was successful enough.
Note to self: Need both ears, keep clear.
Simpsons creme is not my favorite shave product, but today, with the assistance of some M-Bomb,
proved to be a worthy component. I don't skimp when removing a
    large-ish finger-full of the product.
Smeared it into the bottom of my Aesop bowl, together with the M-Bomb.
I worked the lather enough with the CH2 to then take it to the face.
    Nice, cooling effect.
The Portland is easy to wield, too easy, if you have been paying attention.

Still have not figured out how to make a left-to-right and right-to left pass on my lower neck.
Until I do, a true BBS will remain out of reach (pun not intended, but highly apropos).
    Still, excellent results.
Finished with today's Vintage Old Spice entry (Lime). Details on the appropriate thread.

After two days in Awesometown I decided to head to the Ghost Town for my next shave. Brought the Slim with me, as it is delivering spectacular results.

I haven’t used Chiseled Face in a while, and that has been to my own detriment. Creamy, slick stuff that smells great! What’s not to like? Inspired by a guy on another BST who wanted to buy a Thater 3 band, I figured I’d give mine a run and see if I’d be willing to part with it for some moolah. I’m not. It’s a bit too pillowy soft for me, but by that same measure, it’s different than all other brushes I own. It makes synthetics, by comparison, seem like they were plucked from the Briar Patch. Variety being the spice of life and all that, it will live to shave another day.

Beautiful picture Joseph. Do be careful, we don't want any missing body parts while shaving.

Great shave Randy. The softness of the Thater 3 band is something special. I like mine for a change of pace brush.
