Thank you Douglas. They're the handiwork of a clever chap on ATG.
They are but I used to find the first shave a bit rough, not today.

DE shave today, for a change-up from my typical SR shave. Favorite combo: 2011 Mühle R41 with a new Feather blade. I find the stock Mühle handles somewhat slick/slippery and so prefer this heavy custom handle (made by a fellow TSD member years ago).
Crowne & Crane 'Citrus Melange' soap, jumbo silvertip brush from ShaveWorks, and my go-to aftershave: Fine 'Snake Bite.' Have a blessed day, gents!

Yes it's a new brush. It's possible it was tweeted by Paladin. It looks like they've made four like this, but only one with this NL5 knot. The knot is spectacular- feels as good as it looks.

    Thanks.

Quick diversion, how do you like the D3 syn compared to the CH2 syn?

  13. clint64

    clint64 Blind Squirrel

I really like the CH2 synthetic. The D3 synthetic is smaller and easier to splay. As such it doesn't have the backbone of the CH2 synthetic. Hope this helps.

Clint, do you notice a difference between the Karve D Plate Open Comb and D standard plate?

  15. clint64

    clint64 Blind Squirrel

I notice more blade feel but I can't say that I notice a difference in the closeness of the shave. If I had to pick one now, it would be the D standard plate.

Tim, how was the fragrance on the wood storm? Did it blend well with the Malle?
