DE shave today, for a change-up from my typical SR shave. Favorite combo: 2011 Mühle R41 with a new Feather blade. I find the stock Mühle handles somewhat slick/slippery and so prefer this heavy custom handle (made by a fellow TSD member years ago). Crowne & Crane 'Citrus Melange' soap, jumbo silvertip brush from ShaveWorks, and my go-to aftershave: Fine 'Snake Bite.' Have a blessed day, gents!

I really like the CH2 synthetic. The D3 synthetic is smaller and easier to splay. As such it doesn't have the backbone of the CH2 synthetic. Hope this helps.
I notice more blade feel but I can't say that I notice a difference in the closeness of the shave. If I had to pick one now, it would be the D standard plate.
