I didn't have time to take a pic earlier as I was in a hurry today. So I will just do a mini review of the two razors, brass and aluminum, as others have pretty much said it all. Both razors shaved pretty much the same, which was excellent. I do prefer heavy razors, but with the brass version, I did have to be careful as it was the heaviest razor I ever used. I did experience a weeper or two at first, but they happened on my cheek bone areas, so I was real careful with it. I loaded both razors with a Personna Stainless blade, which for me, works great. My first shaves with both razors, on #4, were with beard growths of between 4-5 days, and boy did both razors really mow them down. I really didn't need any touch ups after two passes, as they were both BBS. My second shaves with both razors were done on #3 as they were done two days after the other shaves. Again, both were BBS with only very slight touch ups after two passes. As I mentioned above, even though I usually prefer heavy razors, I did prefer the aluminum razor over the brass one as I had better control of my shaves. Maybe the thick handle, which I like, along with the deep grooves helped in the shaves. I am now ready to ship them to the next user, which looks like it's @Karl G and just need a pm sent by him for his address. Nice job Tom.

OK, first DE shave in probably about 45 years so I had to write @twhite and @jimjo1031 for any tips. Both recommended a setting at 2. I thought I had some Voskhod blades from a PIF that I never used years ago but must have passed them on. I did find some NOS Schick Platinum Teflon Coated blades a seller tossed in with some Schick injector blades years ago. So, after a clean up and bath the razors were ready and so was I. First things first. I introduced the TARS to their cousins from another branch of the family tree. The Bunnies and TARS hit it off right away and a good time was had by all. OK, time for that long delayed DE shave. I picked the black aluminum TARS and sallied forth. Right from the start it was smooth and easy. Turns out 2 was a great choice of a setting. I tried out 3 on the other side of my face and it was OK but not quite as smooth. I really like the large handle and ribs. Really easy to grip and maneuver. And quick. Just like that, two days of growth were erased and I’m looking forward to picking up the heavy brass TARS in a couple of days. Happy shaving - Karl
Karl, love the write up. Great picture of the cousins hitting it off. Sounds like you had a good blade after all.
