For the "adjustable" multi-plate (Rockwell style) razor lovers ... https://www.shapeways.com/shops/clockandflame https://www.sculpteo.com/en/gallery/designers/designershop/drone115b/ From the same designer, Mayur Patel (aka Drone115b), some other nice ones in the links.
My Triceratops arrived yesterday, held up in the USPS about a week. So, I was chomping at the bits to try it out, and Saturday was my straights day. No worry. I used it on the second pass and clean ups. It was great. I will put it into full use next week starting Monday.
Another newer Rogerquin design over at thingiverse. Updated version of the adjustable Gem with 3 different aggression level base plates. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4683673
Some online 3D printing services if you don't have where with all or a local printer to work with. https://craftcloud3d.com/ https://www.treatstock.com/
A shaver on Facebook asked if the Triceratops will take an injector blade. I initially said no, but later decided to check and see. I believe it will take an injector. I will try it out later this week, but tomorrow I will use it with a SE blade. I have a dulled injector blade I use as a shim for my wedge stropper. I used it to test the Triceratops. It looks like it will work to me. I will try it out on Tuesday. Stay tuned.
Loving all the 3D razor designs. Mind you not all will be to your liking. I am confident you can find some. Please if you have a design make it available to the public. This to me is the way forward to affordable razors to the masses. If you are looking to capitalize on the shaving people that is absolutely fine. Sell your idea. I made my razors for the challenge for myself. I am happy to share. The point is that this is the new frontier. I say let’s jump on this Bronco and give it a spin. Resurrecting old ideas or new ideas. Let them fly. Feel free to try.
I had my first full shave with the Triceratops, and it could not have gone better. This is a very nice little razor. I will try it tomorrow with an injector blade.
Never forget the first love ... TNNSER3D V3 Tannhäuser 2.3 Clear Resin 3D Laser Print https://theshaveden.com/forums/posts/1902071/
Another 3D printer service to consider. They also do metal 3D printing if that is your thing. Keep in mind 3D printed metal will cost considerly more than 3D printed plastic. https://www.shapeways.com/
These 3D printed razors are fascinating and interesting. I think the Triceratops is my favorite as well as the Wabbitt.
Here's another 3d printed GEM SE style safety razor. It has the same blade holding method as the EndGem Speed, but with a low profile head and round handle. I've uploaded the files on Thingiverse. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4715320
Potential new 3d printed design I am working on with @twhite It is based on the Razorock Hawk V3 open comb but with some geometry tweaks for a schick injector blade. The machining is @twhite handiwork. Prototype If it works to satisfaction 3d printed files will be made available for the razor head and 2 versions, one for SLM 3D metal printed aluminum and one for 3D printed plastics.
I am shaving with 3d printed razors this week. Today, I started off with the TNNSER by @twhite. I love the way this razor shaves. I always get easy, smooth, efficient shaves. Love it. Tuesday - Triceratops Wednesday - EndGem Speed Thursday - GEM-LP (low profile) Friday - GEM green resin It looks like a fun week. Saturday - Straights of course Sunday - Lather catcher
