Now that would truly be a miracle.

Only problem is afterwards you have to throw out the toilet and get a plumber to snake out the pipes.

Smell like lemony urine, at least Arko can keep the toilet clean until I remove the bloody paper rapper

My vote is for Arko because of its ease of lathering. I can get a good lather with Arko whereas Williams I can’t get a quasi decent lather for the life of me.

Not looking good for the stinky, non-lathering, mosquito repellent soap. :scared003:

If Arko was unscented, I'd still be using it. Sadly, it smells terrible. I like Williams, though it's just an average soap.

I've been using Williams for all my shaves this past month and have been getting some great shaves. Keeping it hydrated is the key to great lathers.

I prefer Arko over Williams because it's much easier to lather and I like the smell.

After my experiment yesterday with ARKO https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/sos-january-2022.66151/page-25#post-2014871 , I have to say that it is easy to lather, but the strong soapy fragrance irritates my skin -- that's a show-stopper.

I wish that William's lather lasted longer than it does, but it is slick and the mild fragrance works with my skin. I have a bit of a nostalgic connection with the William's, since I can remember my dad lathering up back in the 70's with a puck of William's in his Old Spice mug.

    Winner -- William's

Does the vintage Williams smell the same or similar to modern Williams?

I don't know. I haven't used vintage Williams. I would expect an old soap to lose fragrance over the years. I've been tempted to pick a vintage Williams, but some of the prices people want on ebay are crazy!

No. Not even a whiff of skeeter-be-gone on the vintage.
I don't believe soaps lose as much scent over time as some people think. I had several Old Spice pucks from the early 70s that still had a good smell to them.

How would you describe the scent of the vintage?
