I did something manly today. I cut my philtrum pretty badly while shaving with a shavette, and bled like a stuck pig. ...but this time I DIDN'T CRY! - Bax
I ordered a 1/2" hammer drill to run off my portable propane-powered generator. Battery powered drills are too weak and lame for the job. My ordinary drill burned up the first time I tried to use it. I was drilling through thick creosote-soaked telephone poles. Because when I build a fence, I use sections of telephone poles as fence posts, instead of puny little sissy toothpicks from the local big-box or lumberyard. Fence-building takes a 22" chainsaw, a PTO-powered auger on the tractor, and a hammer drill. Paul Bunyan would be proud! - Manly Bax
No, he didn’t load the crossbow correctly. Part of the loading mechanism snapped back and hit his nose & eye. I cleaned his face & bandaged his nose. Not much I could do for his eye- the lid was swollen. He went home to ice it. I hope there is no internal damage to the eye. Having some other issues that increase my risk for a detached retina, I discussed the warning signs with him, making it clear that such signs need urgent attention.
I had to wrestle a woman, and arrest her, after she tried to stab her father, with a 9 inch carving knife. And that was the easy part of the day. There is a lot more to this, that is more interesting, but I cannot go into detail.
Well I suppose there's something to be said for her having used the right knife. You lead an interesting life.
OOOh...sad :-(. That's like my problem with shooting....afraid I'd fire the thing into my hand, the way I was holding the bow.(remember??)
Used the dead-blow mallet to put a watertight lid onto a storage bucket (for my bonsai soil.). Those lids, quite understandably, fit very tightly & are hard to put on. I had to do this right-handed, but I got it done without having to ask anyone else for help.
