Labor Day shave went fine. I switched the "prep" to AgadirMen "Hair&Body". Probably 0:20 at the loading dock with the Stoylin No-Name. Great face coverage with the Bill Neumann soap(Heartwood). Not so down at Cactus, as I left alone NW Cactus(near jawline). Thut shouldn't have happened. Shux. No cuts, Knicks, rr Polka-dots. I may have put too much Bill Neumann A.S. on, as my face and neck became sticky. It's calmed down now. Closed again with Mutamayex(House of Swiss Arabian). Super Duper Excellent.

I do the same. I have a magnet that I put them on to dry and to hold until the next shave

It's not that bad for me because I shave my head on off days. However, it truly is a no shave day because I shaved the dome and face yesterday.

SEptember -- Labor Day BBQ Edition

Today's Stirling Soap was a generous PIF from @battle.munky back in November. The mesquite theme of the soap fits with this afternoon's BBQ plans.

A little secret: I have been using "single edge" month to properly practice using a straight edge. I have been doing a single WTG pass with the Feather DX to gently "remove the lather," then complete the shave with a single edge safety razor. Today I ventured a second pass with the Feather. I was rewarded with a nice nick on the jawline. It is a mostly socially acceptable shave. I hope to increase my skills by the end of the month.

Nice shave Eric. You will nick yourself while learning to use the shavette. You will dial it in to get error-free shaves eventually. Enjoy your day!

Hi gents! Catching up a bit on posts here and thinking I need to make more time for forum posting, ha ha!

    Razor: Schick Type M (D2, H1, G1 by BBS's classification)
    Blade: sChick (#?)
Soap: Mystic Water Soap Sensitive Skin
Brush: Trotter Nacar Oscuro with APSCo Luxury mixed bulb

Setting the knot higher has made the Nacar Oscuro brush outstanding! Razor set to 4 for entire shave, yielding a pleasing shave experience. And with my favorite soap (against which all others are judged), I had a great start to this Labor Day!

I can get away with using a Light or Mild blade but, I have not dared try with a Professional blade. I really like the results I get with the ProGuard blades. You would not think these blades can give a close shave but, I get the closest shaves with them and I am a lot less likely to nick myself. I do seem to have the correct angle when shaving with my shavettes. Maybe I should try with a Professional blade. I will prolly try the Mild blade again first though

    SE Shave # 277 - MICROMATIC & DARKFALL MONDAY

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: GEM Micromatic Bullet Tip
    Blade: GEM Stainless
Brush: Jayaruh 337 with Omega #49 Boar
    Lather: Declaration Grooming Darkfall
    Aftershave: Declaration Grooming Darkfall
    Additional Care:

    Stirling Alum Block
    Humphreys Cucumber Melon Witch Hazel
Declaration Grooming Aftershave Liniment - Darkfall

Happy Labor Day to all. I hope you are enjoying the day and the weather is cooperating to allow you to enjoy the day outside.

I always look forward to my shave but this is especially true for my Monday shaves. Both the Darkfall and the Micromatic, does not matter which version I use, delivers arguably one of the best shaves in my den. My fsce is still BBS after several hours. Love than feeling.

I will be finishing this tub of Darkfall the second Monday in October. Scott of Declaration Grooming will be releasing his Darkfall collection later this month. I will be getting a new tub or two, one might just have to go to the Southern den. I have already picked up the aftershave last month.

I hope you all have a great day gentlemen.
