Well, if I find I can succeed with it, I'll keep it around. There's still a lot. left. I really want it to work for me.
It is a 3017 thread, Paul. It is what we’re doing here. Join in…again, it’s what the postings are about.
Day 3 This soap is a quality product. A nondescript scent for sure…I can throw whatever splash I want at it.
The title is 3017 and Titanic. Yes, we’re describing shaves, absolutely, but we’re posting and describing the shaves from a 3017 or Titanic focus. That’s why a few of us who’ve known you for years on here are asking you to join in and 3017 something. The shaves we’re describing here are on that focus. Charlie is 3017ing Arko, Clint and Joseph (and Gary on work days) are 3017ing Mitchell’s and I’m now on Haslinger.
February 23 Day Five MWF~~Vie-Long~~Kampfe Bros. Star Razor/Gem~~Vintage Brut You can clearly see, I have a long road ahead of me 3017'ing this puck o' Fat. Indeed, by sheer volume, it seems to have swelled. Luckily, the shaves are well above average, with a post shave that can't be beat. The Star razor is stunning. I enjoy using it a lot, even if it did bite me near my right ear. The King of Fougères...Brut. What a glorious stank!
We share the same issue about doing consecutive shaves with the same soap-we miss our other great ones. My Colgate soap crumbled pout of long days of just sitting in my den, unused. Probably the most upset I ever felt since being a member.
Friday, February 24 Day Six MWF~~Simpson M7~~Barbasol Floating Head/Polsilver SI~~Vintage Paco Rabanne Pour Homme As one can easily see, MWF, when in competent hands, creates a sumptuous, thick, rich, protective leather. While it'll take some time to knock out this soap, the journey is a terrific one. Yesterday's Brut was declared the "King of Fougères". Today's PR is hereby crowned "Kaiser". Let the people be told...
I'm still working on the EJ sandalwood puck since new years day. Unfortunately it's been mostly dead air from me since then... 10 days into it I decided to weigh the puck. 62 grams, down from 65. Yikes! I'm sure it absorbed a little water, but still. From there it was 59, 55, 52, then 47 on day 50 (Last Sunday, the 19th.) So the pace picked up a smidgen, but I'm still not even a third of the way through.. That's 3 passes per day, every day, no days missed. And enough for a 4th pass rinsed down the drain. Basically just normal usage for me. I'm not being stingy with it, and not wasteful. Just normal usage.
Being that it pretty much smells like your garage to start with, does airing it out there make any difference?
Normally, I would agree with this statement, but it's like chugging a fifth of whiskey after you have let all of the alcohol evaporate. Just sayin'.
