I put up a post some years back about Ender’s blades I made. Unfortunately, I suffered some major health issues and complications with my treatment, subsequently temporarily disabling me through a a lengthy recovery period, hence my absence and sabbatical from the forum As a result, it slipped my mind, and in the process of making them available to those who are in need for personal use. I sincerely apologize for the delay. Health is a crown on a well persons head that only a sick person can see.
Sorry to hear. Glad you're back, although I didn't "know" you before since I only joined this year. Certainly no need to apologize to anyone. All I could find were posts about people using parts of old Enders blades to help fit injector blades. Even then, they made it sound very fiddly. Plus you have to remove it each shave so it doesn't rust. That's a PIA. I saw a site where someone tried to 3D print an adapter -- then gave up because it didn't work. https://razors.page/Enders/ I came upon Enders, a razor I hadn't been familiar with, because I was looking for other vintage brands of injectors to try other than Schick and PAL. The bakelite handle looked kinda cool, too. I'm a sucker for bakelite handles, though my only razor that has one is my Schick Type E.
I don’t collect vintage razors although Ender’s are an exception. By far, my favorite razor ! I entertained several mods I developed but felt it’s a beautiful shaver and with the utmost respect, abandoned the mods to keep it original.
Sounds like you do want to start collecting them, though. Enders is certainly a cool looking razor that's uniquely different than the run-of-the-mill-looking razors both vintage and modern. Plus it looks like you can get a decent one for under 10 bucks.
You can make one...... https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/blade-carrier-for-enders-speed-shaver.62413/ or you can buy one.... https://hendrixclassics.com/products/enders-speed-razor-adapter
Doesn't seem hard, and it looks like many Enders come with old blades to boot. It's still a PIA to have to take out and dry each time so it doesn't rust -- but since you just pull out the blade, maybe only a minor PIA. I'm still not sure any of it is worth the hassle since I already have many injector razors. But thanks.
Honestly I don't take my blade out after Every use and have NOT had Any problems... The hardest part is finding an old enders blade if yours didnt come with one.. I only have 1 enders blade to have as an adapter but would completely LOVE ,love, LOVE to find a couple of more so I could make another adapter and to have one thats left original.... Also with an extra original I could try to make a / n adapter that could be 3d printed using the original as the "template" to scan into the 3d printer...
I made some Ender’s blades that will be available soon. A kind member has offered to help with mailing them out to members who are in need and for their personal use only.
That sounds awesome.... If I may ask, please let me know when they might be available as I would be extremely interested in trying it out for my personal use... Thanks .
Can you please post pics of the blades you've made for an Ender Razor or any Shavettes?? For some reason I cannot find anything ever posted showing them.
I reached out to the help section about how to post a picture from a IPhone. I have tried but it doesn’t let me. I had to send a picture to a member to post for me
My shave pretty much stays the same. Recently been using a $5 buck shavette with a corundum blade and Goop.
I've never seen a Corundum blade before. Can you post a pic? I know you have spoken about creating a few, years ago, but I've never actually seen one. We have had discussions in the PM about them, in the past, as well as you wanting me to sharpen some for you. I had sent you my address back then, but they never arrived. Soooooo, my offer is still open. You should still have my address, and I would be happy to evaluate and attempt to sharpen one. Heck, I will even pay for your postage, to and from. It should only take 4-5 days to get here. Once I get the blade, I will be more than happy to post pictures of the Corundum Blade, since you are having difficulties with posting from your phone. I'm always happy to help.
Thanks. Help is appreciated and definitely needed. My health was an issue and priority at that time . I vaguely remember some years back about sending you something but that pm context eludes me at this moment. I would be happy to oblige.
