January 22, 2024 Wolfman WR2 with Triad Ti Handle Gillette 7 O’clock Black Zenith B25 La Toja Shave Soap & Aftershave Happy Monday. We had a nice sunny but chilly day yesterday with most of the upcoming week looks to be rainy and messy. Another fantastic shave to start the day. This soap will certainly be gone before the end of the week. I was digging through my shave cabinet and found a new La Toja shave stick. I might just take it on our trip this summer. Monday January 22, 2024 A fantastic shave featuring Tabac Veggie. I'm using Tabac exclusively this month. It's a definite favorite! My Zenith brush whips up an amazing later in just seconds.
Yes definitely. The soap itself is lighter in color. The veggie puck is in the ceramic jar. When I took this photo I moved the remaining original formula to the shaving bowl. As previously mentioned, I finished my original puck this past weekend. I find the scent a bit different. I picked up a scent that was familiar to me, reminded me of Ivory soap which was a staple in my home growing up. I find the new formula a more thirsty soap. Of course adding some water along the way fixes that up. In terms of performance, I'm very happy with it. Regardless of what soap I shave with, I finish every shave with a splash of Tabac Aftershave. I love this stuff!
Monday, January 21 Ethos Bay Rum~~Semogue SOC Boar~~Wolfman WR-2 OC 1.15 Darwin/Wilkinson Light Brigade~~Chiseled Face Midnight Stag My new Wolfman arrived from Canada today and I took it for a spin. The 1.15mm gap seems large, but it doesn't shave that way. Very smooth and wonderful to use. The Darwin handle isn't the most ergonomic in the world, but what a beautiful design. For my friend @wristwatchb I liberally sprayed on some Midnight Stag.
January 23, 2024 Wolfman WR2 with Triad Ti Handle Gillette 7 O’clock Black Zenith B22 La Toja Shave Soap & Aftershave Happy Tuesday. Wow what a week and it has just started. Another fantastic shave to start the day. I find this WR2 with its 1.05 mm blade gap to be both smooth and efficient. Of course the shave is even better when uses a fantastic soap like La Toja. I actually enjoy winter, and winter activities. I'm good to about -10 Celcius for outdoor activities. What we had a week ago was extreme, damaging to property and potentially unsafe to folks.
Day 12 and Day 13 Yesterday and Today What a week it has been. On Thursday morning, I took a work call right after getting out of the shower and right before I shaved. The call resulted in me having to leave town asap (without shaving...) and spending a few days out of the den. Got a hotel shave in on Friday morning and came back home Saturday night. Such is life. Back to a regular work day Monday, so two standard shaves the past few days. Had a good run with the Bostonian and pulled the Old Type this morning. I got outstanding results with both. Thanks, Pal. FYI, I hade this exact same configuration a few years ago and sold it. Repurchased, and with the dollar strength, it cost almost $100 less this time around.
Tuesday January 23 Ethos Bay Rum~~Simpson M7~~Wolfman WR2/Wilkinson Chromium (2)~~Etat Libre d'Orange Secretions Magnifique Soap still exists and my prediction is that it'll make it through the month. Note to self: Focus...make lather... If you keep the Darwin handle and your hands dry, the grip becomes more intuitive. Day two with the Light Brigade. January 24, 2024 Feather AS D2 Feather PAA ShaveRite 210 La Toja Shave Stick & Aftershave Happy Wednesday. Another rainy messy day here in the ATL which is better than temps in the teens.
