I find the Light Touch with any razor has great results.

I'm still dancin' with the girl I brung. 21 shaves so far with the Bigelow-Parkin Co. folding travel razor. I hope to reach 30 consecutive daily shaves with it on May 20.

The razor has helped improve my technique by requiring me to slow down and focus on the basics. The razor is as good as any in my humble rotation. It consistently delivers near-BBS results without complaint from Mr. Alum. I've had 3 or 4 polka dots and one nick (operator error) since I began using it. It hasn't shifted or slipped out of my hand yet during use, thankfully. That has been my main concern with it.

I hope you fellers are well, and I'm especially glad that @Trigger feels better.

Y'all have a nice weekend. Grace and Peace.

Barry, that may be the best shaving advice of all. I heard it from the start, but it took me awhile to do it consistently. I endured some uncomfortable shaves until I did.

I enjoy following your SOTD posts. My Bride and I would like to visit your side of the pond soon. We visited a few years ago, and it was a lot of fun.

    Have a great weekend.

    Something of interest.
Reloading an Injector Dispenser | TheShaveDen hope this helps. It looks fussy, but with patience it'll work.

Thank you Charlie. It took me awhile too to get it consistent with each shave. I "trained my brain to "shave the lather from my face, rather than the stubble" this helped with irritation immensely.

Thanks for finding that for me Barry, excellent.
I had thought of filling the key dispenser but will just do one blade at a time.

Welll.. just like yesterday with today's shave(exc[t for today's brush-Maggard 24 mm Marble Handle-made in Canada). . Great most places, except the nasty South Porcupine(chin). When I have Clubman A.S., I want great EVERYWHERE. A minute at the loading dock(with the Razorock American Barber shavesoap). Clean and clear shave..as I said, nearly everywhere...but the chin. I wasn'tcareful enough dealing with previous Knick damage there. Result-more damage. I really must soften up my strokes at South Porcupine. Very happy with the rest of the shave. 2 passes. Aforementioned Clubman finished me off nicely. For my next 9 shaves, I will have skin-friendly aftershaves. Today's grade-Pretty Outstanding.

That's all you need to do Chris. The main thing is you've got over the problem with the injector key, and you can use the Proline blades it's just a case of loading one into the old injector blade dispenser when required. The longevity of injector blades is excellent.

Gary-I was about to add that I should always credit Canada when I use the Maggard-the Maple Leaf shows clearly at the bottom.

That's great Charlie. I just got up minutes ago. I just needed that rest. I am feeling much better, but I am just on unsalted crackers and water. I am still weak because I haven't had anything substantial but a banana. Drank a whole 48 oz bottle of Gatorade to keep my electrolytes at a decent level. The only downside is that it has 48 g of sugar. However, my body needed it. I will try to eat something more solid and get a ginger ale drink to further settle my stomach. Right now, I don't have any pain. Thank goodness.

Beautiful setup and shave Gary. By the way, I spoke with that lady about the razor and she did misspoke. It was her grandfather's, not her great grandfather's. She had showed me a wornout badger brush that was her great grandfather's and there lies the confusion because she combined the razor and brush as her great-grandfather's set which was not the case. Again, I dated the razor with what she told me, but I was just surprised by the mint condition of the razor and my instincts said that the razor was not from the 1930's. I told her what you said and she was very appreciative. Thanks again.

Gentlemen, thanks for the kind words on the shave.

Joe, I'm grateful that you are beginning to mend. Hopefully you will get more good rest, nutrition, and hydration this weekend.

Thanks again Charlie. I decided to do a very light 10 to 15 min. bike ride at my gym. I feel that I can handle it as long as I go slow. I need to get my circulation moving because it's the longest stretch of inactivity since my gym reopened from the Covid pandemic. Afterwards, I will just go home and still lie low.
