Monday, August 26 ETHOS Vanilla Safi~~Simpson CH2 Synthetic Badger~~Gillette New LC/Personna 74~~Vintage Caron Pour un Homme The jury's still out on this shave soap. Good base, as usual, but I have to use my synthetic brush to avoid staining my badger tips. The Caron, while essentially a lavender stank, has a massive vanilla accord.
Tuesday, August 27 Tallow + Steel Indian Bay (3017)~~Hucklaration B5~~1936 Gillette De Luxe/Personna 74~~West Indies Bay Rum w/Lime Here's the next 3017. The T+S is this company's take on Bay Rum. Well, imo, it's an interesting scent, but a LONG way from what I consider Bay Rum. Hard to estimate how much soap remains. The container is wide enough to facilitate a successful "Fast 'n Loose"® lathering. While the soap color is quite dark, it does not stain a badger brush.

August 25-30, 2024 MdC Original Agua Lavanda Puig Aftershave Happy Friday Everyone! I have been lazy on posting this week. I did however keep up with my photos and 3017 effort. I have now used roughly 70 grams of soap in 19 shaves. While I am making good progress, I still have while to go. Take care and have a great day.
Friday, August 30 Tallow + Steel Indian Bay~~DG B14 Washington~~Gillette Pre-War Tech/Personna 74~~Arabian Oud Kashmir Changed my mind and decided to move the Indian Bay into my Aesop SS bowl. Two reasons: 1) Easier "Fast 'n Loose"® lathering 2) I can monitor my usage better, knowing that the bowl weighs 44g. The DG brush is a beast. Finished with a stank that, sadly, Dr. Mrs Primo doesn't enjoy as much as I. HOWEVER---she's away with her sister!
August 31, 2024 Blackland Vector Kai Captain Protouch MG Zenith B29 Boar MdC Original Agua Lavanda Puig Aftershave Happy Saturday Everyone! It's opening weekend for college football which happens to be our favorite time of year. I decided to kickoff SEptember a day early and go with the Vector. A great shave to start the day. No pictures yet as I have shaved only twice this week. I had the hernia surgery on Tuesday but it took much longer than expected. First the hole was bigger than expected and the doctor said it was not new, my fat had blocking the hole and keeping my intestines in. The doctor took a couple of pounds of fat free of charge. It turns out I also had a hernia on the other side. The first night and the next day were very painful. The kept me in the hospital two nights, they are cautious and they can make extra $. I was discharged and make the short walk home. I am walking more and more each day and the pain is going down. Two weeks no lifting anything more than 5 kg and 6-8 weeks before returing to full exercise.

Keith, it should be a pretty easy heal. Just be mindful of coughs and sneezes, and hire a roadie to carry your guitar
