May 14, 2024 Timeless Ti 0.95 mm Gillette 7 O’clock Black Rudy Vey Rover with Muhle STF Stirling Glacial Citron Shave Soap & Aftershave Happy Tuesday Everyone. It is a rainy messy day here in the ATL. At least I was able to get a great shave in to start the day. I will be working from home this morning and then at a client site this afternoon. Take care everyone and have a great day.
Tuesday, May 14 ETHOS Lavender Suprême~~Semogue TSN Final Edition Finest 1/50~~1908 Gillette SR/Voskhod~~Rasasi Hawas So, the Semogue continues to scritch. Honestly, I don't like scritch. Luckily the Old Type didn't scratch... Nice, three-passer with superior results. So far, Dr. Mrs. Primo hasn't complained about the Hawas...so...
I returned home Monday, the red-eye flights are exhausting but that is the only option for a direct flight between Phuket and Seoul. So day 1 on my new 3017, Razo Rock The Freedburg. This one is already well along the way so it should be just a couple of weeks to finish it off. Kicked off the 301y with a 8/8 Grim Butcher, Rooney brush and finished with a classic stank, Guerlain Vetiver. An epic shave. A couple of pics from Phuket And what happens in Patong ... well you know. Things have changed, there are lot more dispensaries and fewer lady boys. Thailand is considering reversing the marijuana laws and making it illegal again. They think it is brining in the wrong kind of tourists. I guess they prefer the tourist that come to see lady boys . Fortunately we stay far away from Patong.
Welcome home, Keith. It looks like you ate well, and I hope the weather was nice. The rest sounds a bit scary for this old hillbilly.
...or glue dots on blades, soap granules, black boar brush hairs, and possibly puppies and root beer ice cream floats.
May 15, 2024 Feather AS D2 Feather PAA ShaveRite 210 Stirling Glacial Citron Shave Soap & Aftershave Happy Wednesday. This soap is "Done & Dusted". I have really enjoyed this 3017. At some point I will add another Glacial soap to my collection but not now. Take care and have a great day.
Another example of owners saying "Hey, let's TRY this and see how it works. If it isn't as good as the popular brand, at least we can say we tried something DIFFERENT. Course change is good".
Not sure change always means "better", though. Look at AoS, Fine, of course, MWF, Williams, Tabac, to name a few. They changed their formulas---for whatever reason, and the results were, imo, NOT an improvement. Then you have owners, who constantly "tweak" an already excellent formula. Barrister & Mann comes to mind. Baffling, when you consider their original formula was outstanding. The other side of the coin is an artisan, who trusts their product. Mike's and Mystic Water are prime examples.
I initially omitted quite a few things for the sake of gentlemanly discretion. However, in the interest of completeness and full transparency, I directed my staff to review your file, and we will respond in short order with a more complete list.

Wednesday, May 15 ETHOS Lavender Suprême~~Hucklaration B5~~1936 Gillette Aristocrat De Luxe/Voskhod~~Rasasi Hawas Speaking of scritch, the B5 has ZERO. Wonderful shave with---and hold onto your hats, what might be my favorite razor.
Oh, I agree...change isn't ALWAYS good When I said that I was quoting those who THINK so...not muhself.. As for Fine, the "change" helped produce Latigo, which I've enjoyed. But I don't care for "tweakers"......that sentiment began with Rise...I'll admit I didn't focus 100%on the Rise I was getting with my big order a few years ago...I thought it was Rise Original. I guess I forgot times have changed. Shux.
Congrats Clint. Nice job knocking out the Glacial! I am finally within striking distance on my Proraso cream, maybe 2-3 weeks left. I hope you and your family are doing well. All good here. Kathy and I celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary tomorrow. Planning to do something fun and have a nice meal out. I need to get her a Gold Medal for putting up with me.
