We had a meat cleaver shortly after we were married. I broke it after getting too exuberant with it on a chopping block. It wasn't a high end one, but still felt bad for breaking it. This one was manufactured in the 40's and built like a tank. They made three models (Hotel 8" Restaurant 7" and Household 6" all built the same, just the blade length is different.
For me, it's two Dr. Sqatch hand-soaps....Maverick Musk. I have others to get to before I open those. As I said in a previous post-I'll be washing my hands in style until this Fall...maybe later.
