Wednesday morning’s Grand Freeze: Quick shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Bic day 13 Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB Floid Vigoroso AS Splash Calvin Klein Obsession EdT Oh my goodness did I ever freeze my bloody face off - the Glacial Electric Sheep did a helluva number on me. The scent (to me) is nice, the lather is awesome, the menthol sensation is insane, and the postshave feeling is wonderful. The Stoffel balm is also a bona fide iceberg with lots of soothing as well as moisturizing, and the Floid Vigoroso aftershave packs a strong menthol punch. Finally a little of the Obsession fragrance and that’s it, that’s all. Another super duper three pass BBS shave that I enjoyed immensely! Happy Thanksgiving Day my friends! Menthol Monday’s Grand Freeze: Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Bic day 5 Stirling Glacial Iceberg Island SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB Stirling Glacial Iceberg Island AS Splash Holy Toledo, I pity anyone who can’t handle such intense menthol because this Glacial Iceberg Island soap and aftershave are BLOODY COLD. The scent is gorgeous - it’s just about an exact copy of the Virgin Island Water fragrance from Creed, the soap lathers magnificently, it’s got the typical Stirling slickness, and the postshave care is perfect. The Stoffel balm is another menthol atom bomb with such a nice peppermint scent as well as lots of soothing and moisturizing. Finally the Glacial Iceberg Island aftershave added another coating of icicles into my face along with its lovely scent that has great staying power. What a delightful three pass BBS shave this was! Menthol Monday’s Grand Freeze: Long hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Bic day 12 Stirling Glacial Mango Sunrise SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB Noble Otter Northern Elixir AS Splash My face is so frozen from this setup - the Glacial Mango Sunrise soap not only lathers great and freezes like Siberia in midwinter it smells so beautiful. The Stoffel balm from Bundubeard has a wonderful peppermint scent, it’s icy cold, and it’s so soothing. Finally the Northern Elixir aftershave went on frigidly with its nice peppermint/eucalyptus scent. I couldn’t for a better shave - three passes did the job for me! Wishing you all a good week ahead! Menthol Monday’s Grand Freeze: Hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Wilkinson Sword/Wilkinson day 6 Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Floid Vigoroso AS Splash It’s been quite a while since I used a Glacial soap so I chose the Electric Sheep this morning and I’m so happy that I did. Wow, did it ever freeze my face to smithereens - the scent is so awesome, (to me!) it lathered superbly, and its mutton tallow formula promotes such wonderful postshave care. The Gold Bond moisturizer works so well as a balm, and the Floid Vigoroso aftershave’s beautiful old school European scent is a top favourite of mine not to mention how frigid it is. Menthol Monday’s Grand Freeze: Hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Junjie/Wilkinson day 13 Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade AS Splash If a setup like this doesn’t freeze your face off then nothing will - man alive, this Glacial Strawberry Lemonade soap and aftershave are loaded to the brim with lethally cold menthol. The scent is so delightful - the strawberry seems to be a bit more dominant but the lemony notes are there too, the soap provided more than enough lather for two guys to shave with, and the postshave feeling was so soothing as well as comfortable. The Gold Bond moisturizer has no shortage of menthol either, and it gives great protection from dryness, and the Glacial Strawberry Lemonade aftershave went on frigidly cold along with its beautiful scent that lasts all day. Menthol Monday’s Grand Freeze: (And what a Grand Freeze it was!) Hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Wilkinson day 6 Stirling Glacial Cedar SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB Stirling Glacial Cedar AS Splash An hour or so was when I shaved and I can still feel a cold tingle on my face - the Glacial Cedar soap and aftershave did one helluva number on me. The scent is so beautiful, the soap provided tons of awesome lather that was so thick, rich, mega slick and protective, the menthol sensation felt borderline painful, (in a good way of course!) not to mention how comfortable the postshave feeling was. The Stoffel balm is so moisturizing as well as soothing, it’s also icy cold, and the Glacial Cedar aftershave went on frigidly cold. I transplanted the Wilkinson blade into my Super Speed because the Junjie was too harsh yesterday and the results were a wonderful three pass BBS with no issues whatsoever! The scent of this Glacial Citron is so beautiful - lemon, lime, and a little grapefruit all come together to make it so refreshing. The soap is a tallow based lather monster with such awesome slickness, the menthol sensation hits like a ton of bitterly cold bricks, and the postshave feeling is wonderful. The Stoffel balm is also a bona fide face freezer with a very nice peppermint scent, and it gives lots of soothing as well as moisturizing. The Glacial Citron aftershave seems to pair so well with the Eau Sauvage fragrance. Three passes did me proud - such a terrific BBS shave despite the blade getting duller. Saturday morning’s Grand Freeze: Quick shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Wilkinson day 4 Stirling Frozen Tundra SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Noble Otter Northern Elixir AS Splash This morning the Frozen Tundra felt so bloody cold that I thought I was shaving with a Glacial soap - this stuff is actually one small step lower than the Glacials. The scent is so beautiful - it’s got wintergreen, peppermint, and earthy notes to it, the lather is AWESOME, it’s so slick, the menthol pummelled my face non stop, and the postshave feeling was wonderful. The Gold Bond moisturizer is also very chilly as well as soothing, and the Northern Elixir aftershave smells great - it’s a blend of eucalyptus and peppermint not to mention how frigid it is. Sunday morning’s Grand Freeze: Quick shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Wilkinson day 12 Stirling Glacial Obsidian SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Osage Rub AS Splash Versace Dreamer EdT Lots of icicles in my face today - the Glacial Obsidian soap froze me to smithereens. I love its black licorice scent, it gave me tons of awesome lather with lots of slickness, and the postshave feeling was wonderful like ALL of Rod’s fantastic soaps. The Gold Bond moisturizer works so well as a balm, and the Rubby Dubby Doo worked its frigid magic. Last but not least the lovely Dreamer fragrance which was a gift from my wife’s cousin. Friday morning’s Grand Freeze: Quick shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Wilkinson day 3 Stirling Glacial Margaritas in the Arctic SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Floid Vigoroso AS Splash Did I ever freeze my face off this morning today with the Glacial MITA - this soap is a menthol atom bomb. The scent is identical to the regular version which is so citrusy and tropical, the lather is fantastic, and the postshave care is perfect. The Gold Bond moisturizer is also very mentholated and it’s so soothing. Finally the Floid Vigoroso aftershave went on frigidly cold along with its delightful old school barbershop scent that I love so much. A question for fellow Stirling fans. Anyone used Coniferous? I bought a tub of it. Unfortunately it smells like straight pine tar to me. Not a subtle fragrant scent of pine but a strong biting smell that I find totally offputting. Anyone else feel the same way or different about Coniferous? I should add that I LOVE Barbershop as well as most of the other Stirling offerings I've tried. It's just this one that I find unbearable.
Barbershop was my first Stoylin soap. It looked a little odd to me at first-so much so that I called Doc Ezlovan to make sure it's good. Looked like tunafish to me a first, but he calmly just said "Ahh, just dig in". I did and loved it. As for Coniferous, I have the aftershave. It's OK. Might gt the soap later.

The scent is delightful, it filled the bathroom while I was lathering up and shaving, the menthol sensation was killer cold, and the postshave feeling was wonderful. The matching balm and witch hazel were such a great finish. Finally the Obsession fragrance and that’s it that’s all. Another brilliant three pass BBS shave that was lots of fun! The Glacial Black Cherry is a lethally mentholated soap with a great scent, it’s chock full of awesome lather that’s so slick, and it gives wonderful skincare like ALL of Rod’s soaps. The Stoffel balm is also plenty frigid as well as very soothing and moisturizing while the Northern Elixir aftershave is another menthol atom bomb with a nice peppermint scent. Finally the lovely Obsession fragrance and I’m ready to enjoy another day of retirement. Not much to do today because it’s snowing like crazy. Menthol Monday’s Atomic Grand Freeze: Long hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Wilkinson day 6 Stirling Glacial Mango Sunrise SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB Axe Oil (extremely mentholated) My face is going to need all day to thaw out after this intense menthol bombardment - the Glacial Mango Sunrise soap not only has a beautiful scent and lathers superbly it freezes the living crap out of you. The Stoffel balm is also killer cold, and the Axe oil is actually meant to be used for sore joints but it has a delightful exotic scent and the menthol sensation from it is absolutely off the charts - just a small dab on both cheeks and another one on the neck is sufficient.
