The Glacial Spearmint soap and balm did a helluva number on me this morning - the beautiful scent filled the bathroom while I was lathering up and shaving, the menthol sensation was killer cold, and the postshave feeling was wonderful. The Frosted Spearmint aftershave has the identical lovely scent as Rod’s stuff and the menthol kick is insane. Another awesome three pass BBS shave that was such a pleasure! Friday morning’s Atomic Grand Freeze: Long hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Wilkinson day 4 Stirling Glacial Cedar SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB Stirling Glacial Cedar AS Splash Bleu de Chanel Parfum Not only am I still frozen stiff from this shave I also smell AWESOME. The Glacial Cedar soap and aftershave are two menthol atom bombs with a most delightful scent - the soap lathers like there’s no tomorrow and the postshave care is superb. The Stoffel balm’s so moisturizing and soothing not to mention how frigid it is, and the Glacial Cedar aftershave went on icy cold. Finally the magnificent Bleu de Chanel fragrance and that’s it that’s all. Three swift passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave that I enjoyed to the max! Friday morning’s Atomic Grand Freeze: Hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Wilkinson day 11 Stirling Glacial Wintergreen SS Stirling Glacial Wintergreen ASB Stirling Glacial Wintergreen Witch Hazel Lagerfeld Classic EdT The Glacial Wintergreen soap I used this morning is an old puck that I bought around 8 years ago and I completely forgot about it but it still smells great, it lathers superbly, it gives a monstrous menthol kick, and it feels so soothing as well as moisturizing. The matching balm and witch hazel added tons of iciness along with loving care for my skin. Finally the Lagerfeld Classic fragrance which smells beautiful and I’m good to go. Sunday morning - close to being a Grand Freeze: L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Goodfella/Astra Green day unknown Stirling Black Ice SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Reef Point Fougere Santal AS Splash Two things that I haven’t used in a few years - my Goodfella DE and the Black Ice soap. I did a swap with a gentleman in the UK and he sent me a few soaps and this Goodfella. This razor is on the milder side of the spectrum - even more so than my Super Speed but it gives EXCELLENT performance especially with a great blade like an Astra Green. This Black Ice soap has been sitting around for so long - it’s a refill puck from one of Rod’s older formulations but it still has a lovely black liquorice scent, it lathers fabulously, it gives a STRONG menthol sensation, (ok, not as strong as the Glacial Obsidian but still plenty strong!) and it’s so gentle on my skin. The Gold Bond moisturizer is so soothing and it has lots of menthol in it. Last but not least the Fougere Santal aftershave which my wonderful wife gave me as a gift - this stuff smells gorgeous and it’s icy cold. Menthol Monday’s Nuclear Grand Freeze: Hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Goodfella/new Wilkinson Stirling Glacial Iceberg Island SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB Stirling Glacial Iceberg Island AS Splash This Goodfella is a really good fella indeed - although it’s such a mild razor it performs so well. The Glacial Iceberg Island soap and aftershave have a MAGNIFICENT scent that’s an exact copy of the Virgin Island Water fragrance from Creed - the soap’s lather is wonderful, it’s so easy to work up, there’s so much slickness, it’s killer cold like all the Glacials, the postshave feeling is so comfortable - typical Stirling perfection. The Stoffel balm is another Bundubeard treasure - thanks so much to my dear brother Jaco for creating it - it’s loaded with menthol and it’s so gentle on my skin. Finally the Glacial Iceberg Island aftershave froze my face to the max and its delightful scent lasts just about all day. Iceberg Island is my favorite of the Doc's glacial soaps. I look forward to upcoming hot&humid days of summer, so I get back to it. .

Wednesday morning’s Lethal Grand Freeze: Hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Goodfella/Wilkinson day 3 Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB Floid Vigoroso AS Splash Oh my God, any colder than this and my face would have disintegrated - this Glacial Electric Sheep is a bona fide menthol atom with a lovely scent, its mutton tallow formula promotes some of the finest, slickest lather I ever saw, the menthol sensation is so bloody intense, and the postshave feeling is so soothing. The Stoffel balm and the Floid Vigoroso aftershave were a perfect finishing combination - lots of additional iciness and do I ever smell great. The scent is so beautiful, the soap delivered tons of super duper lather that was so slick, the menthol sensation pummelled my face from start to finish, but the skincare of this stuff is A1. The matching balm and aftershave added to the frigidity. Finally the lovely Eau Sauvage fragrance (it’s lemony based so it pairs very well with this trio) and I’m good to go. The Diana balm is unscented, it’s so moisturizing as well as soothing, and there’s a ton of menthol in it. The Snake Bite aftershave took the freeze to another level. The soap delivered tons of awesome lather, the menthol sensation felt killer cold, and it left a soothed, super comfortable postshave feeling. The Stoffel balm from Bundubeard doesn’t lack menthol either and it’s wonderful in the skincare department. Finally the Glacial Frozen Tuxedo aftershave went on frigidly cold along with its dynamic scent that I love so much. The scent of this soap and aftershave is so BEAUTIFUL, the way it lathers is amazing, there’s so much slickness like all of Rod’s soaps, the menthol sensation can knock a polar bear on his tukhis, and it’s so skin friendly. The Diana balm from Austria is unscented so it doesn’t disrupt the lovely scent, it’s frigidly cold, and it’s so moisturizing as well as soothing. Finally the Glacial Iceberg Island aftershave went on with a killer cold menthol kick and the scent has great longevity. The Glacial Cedar soap and aftershave smell so beautiful, there seems to be trace of lemon or lime along with the cedar, the soap’s tallow formula provides superb lather with so much slickness, the menthol sensation pounds your face relentlessly, and the postshave feeling is A1. The Stoffel balm is another menthol atom bomb that’s so moisturizing and soothing, not to mention how frigid the Glacial Cedar aftershave is. Finally the Cool Water fragrance which is pretty darned nice and I’m good to go. Three passes gave me a most delightful BBS shave - everything is in perfect order! Saturday morning - almost a Grand Freeze: Hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Goodfella/new Bic Stirling Frozen Tundra SS Nip Man ASB Floid Vigoroso AS Splash Do I ever love this Frozen Tundra soap - it’s the second coldest after the Glacials. The scent is awesome - it’s minty, earthy with wintergreen notes, it provides thick, rich, super slick lather, it has a lulu of a menthol sensation, and it gives wonderful postshave care. The Nip Man balm from the UK has a very nice minty scent not to mention how cooling and moisturizing it is while the Floid Vigoroso aftershave has that gorgeous old school European barbershop scent that rocks my world and a boatload of icy menthol. I’m sort of on the fence about these Bic blades - this new one helped me get a most enjoyable three pass BBS shave so for now, no complaints. Have a great day - be well and stay safe!
