Tuesday, May 6 Ariana & Evans Agarwood~~Huklaration B5~~WR1 Ti/Wizamet Iridium Super~~Initio Oud for Greatness Desert Island razor...yes, I said it. Stank du jour...stankiest of stanks. Which, btw, just received an UNSOLICITED SWMBOSOA®
Wednesday, May 7 Mike's Honey & Grapefruit~~Simpson CH2 Synthetic~~Wolfman WR1/Wizamet Iridium Super~~Tom Ford Tuscan Leather I am a ways off from my next 3017 and enjoying the variety again. The Mike's is a new offering from him and like all his other soaps, is excellent. The Wolfie was loaded with a Wizamet and cleanly shaved me whilst offering some not so subtle blade-feel. Tuscan Leather for the win.
Wanted to feel the aggression so 2011 R41 with a Super Irdium for the win. Thater brush for the win. Vintage Antaeus for the win. The original Seiko (sorry Timex will be tomorrow) Cocktail Time. After yesterday's winning shave I thought I would tired of so much winning but no. My finest steel, Riga Razor for the win. A big Simpsons PL10 make winning amount of lather. Stank of the day Tauer L'Air du Désert Marpcain, I think they charge by the letter.
I finally have a decent watch-it's a Quartz, with my initials at the 12, year of birth at the 6, date at the 3.
Thursday, May 8 AoS Lemon~~Vie-Long Beehive~~2010 Mühle R41/Wizamet Iridium Super~~Vintage YSL Pour Homme Cologne Picked up this vintage bottle of YSL Pour Homme. I used to splash this on with abandon in the mid-seventies. What goes around, comes around.
The fancy stuff is a feature from the company-The Danbury Mint(CT). I should add the initials and year of birth are at the BOTTOM of the 12 and 6 respectively, not a replacement for the numbers.
Saturday, May 10 Antica Barbieria Colla~~Semogue 2012 SE Mistura~~2010 Mühle R41~~YSL Opium Pour Homme Nice weekend shave 'n stank.
Sunday, May 11 Tabac~~Semogue~~Feather DX Spending Mother's Day with my son and daughter-in-law and grand babies. Hope everyone has a fantastic day.
Catch up time: Friday saw the Steam Punk running out of steam, maybe it will fall next week. Joris DE with a Super Iridium, Thäter brush and in the blue sample sprayer Tom Ford Tuscan Leather. The weekend means variety time. Saturday kicked off very busy so I went with my Cobra Classic to clear the stuble. I was attending a wedding so Tabac to ensure top quality lather and the most extensive stank in the house, Rojo Dove Vetiver. Time to put on the monkey suit. Sunday was a busy day too, so Asylum Rx for the razor, needed a quick shave. The weather was chilly so was in oud mood, Zingari Amir followed by vintage M7. An out of this world watch with a meteorite dial.
Steam Punk was one of the most original scents I ever used. I used to have a bottle of the EdT as well as the soap and ASB...alack and alas, I sold them.
Monday, May 12 Stirling Solidus~~Simpson D3~~Wolfman WR2/Wizamet~~Paco Rabanne 1 Million LuckyNew position at work and new hours. Back to shaving in the morning. Started off with this beauty of a shave 'n stank. Gotta be careful that I don't choose a particularly stanky stank.
Kicking off the week with a favorite stank, Rive Gauche in the tin can. El Capitaine is a heft 1/4 hollow 7/8 blade from Art Razor. She has a edge fresh off the stones. Another favorite and classic stank, Guerlain Vetiver. A top steel today, Dorko 7/8 full hollow. Bought this beauty NOS.
Wednesday, May 14 Fine L'Orange Noir~~Simpson 90th Anniversary Astor~~Wolfman WR2~~Terre d'Hermès Eau Très Fraîche I am always amazed that the sadly discontinued Fine soap lathered so well. Top-Tier soap, gone the way of the Dodo.
Friday, May 16 Macduff's Prairie Rumrunner~~Simpson CH3~~Cobra Classic~~St. Johns Bay Rum My morning shaves are proving to be rushed. I don't care for that at all. Might have to rethink when I shave... This one was however, more than satisfactory.
What seemed like a dissadvantage end up being an advantage. Being in Korea and the new high cost of shipping has made buying and selling difficult so I have no sellers regret since I have not sold in a long time.
Catch up time! It was a busy week, it feels like I am busier now than when I was working. A smiling Ali's Blade, Thäter brush and for this warm day AdP Colonia it first use this season. I have 4 Dovo's all excellent blades. I had just one frustration that Dovo razor were all 5/8 or 6/8 so when they came out with a 8/8 I had to acquire it. But the star of the show is my first use of vintage Old Spice that just arrived. A certain someone is bad influence and has me buying vintage stanks. This did not dissapoint and it is much better than the current version. Another one bites the dust. I finished off the Steam Punk, I really enjoyed the scent and performance was acceptable. I had about a shave and half left of the cream so I pulled out a big gun, Kent BK12 and even threw in an extra pass. A bit chilly today so perfect for Patchoulie Impérial.
