It depends if you include tofu and seafood the choices are large, but pure vegetarian is tough. There are alot of vegetables in our diet but mostly as side dishes. Korean cuisine tends lean heavily into meat and seafood. It is doable, if you decide on a trip and can prepare script in Korean you can use at the restaurants to make sure what get is vegetarian. Sometimes they confuse no meat with just a little.
Catch up time, a group photo from the last 4 shaves. The C&S soap is stubbornly cling on and refuses to die. Steel: Riga Razor 7/8, Brian Brown 7/8, Joris Tuxedo and 2011 R41. Brushes: Double Duck retro handle with a boar knot, Thater, Shavemac and Varet. The stanks Montale Aoud Cuir d'Arabie, Dior Pathcouli Imperial, Creed Neroli Sauvage and Guelain Vetiver. While this soap is great performer I look forward to finishing it off and moving on to the next target.
Thursday, February 27 Fine Green Vetiver~~Semogue 2012 SE Mistura~~Gem Clog-Pruf/Gem~~Rasasi Hawas What a fantastic soap... Good results with the Gem---not my fav, but serviceable. The Hawas is a sweet stank.
Friday, February 28 AoS Rose Absolute~~Semogue TSN Final Edition~~Gillette #44 RFB/Feather~~Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade Photo homage to @clint64 Next 3017, is what remains of a tub of AoS Rose Absolute. Purchased on another forum from a reputable member. He stated there was approximately 50% remaining... Received it today and the reality is otherwise. More like 10%... Meanwhile, I had promised @Yehuda D a sample, and I have it all packed up (in a letter) and ready to ship north. (A promise is a promise) I know he'll like it. I decided to 3017 what's left. There's perhaps 6-8 shaves remaining. (Easiest 3017 I have ever done). Jeff, it's about time you joined us on this thread, my friend.
Friday is the only day I have to get up early and the only day I make an appearance in the office (albiet for just a few hours). So speed is what I need so my Joris DE can delivery and excellent shave quickly. I decided to take the soap destroyer Chubby 2 to the C&S but alas the 3017 will run into March. Cuir de Russie for that elegant touch of leather as opposed to my usual obnoxious choices. The weekend is the time for some variety, Tabac time. A 7/8 Brian Brown straight in a splash motive was the choice for the steel. The Paladin handle is close enough to the color Tauer L'Air due Désert Maricain bottle to be selected today. The weather has made a turn for the warmer, well not exactly warm but defiantly above freezing and no need for a parka so the Tauer was my stank du jour.
Saturday, March 1 AoS Rose Absolute~~Hoffritz 19mm~~Gillette #44 RFB/Feather~~Frederic Malle Promise As you can see, there's not much product remaining. Might be more shaves in here than I think...
To be fair, I sent @Yehuda D at least 1/2 of what I received. Oh well, he only charged me $10 and I am happy to share it with Jeff. BTW, you're flaunting your Keyhole brushes, my friend...
Yesterday I described my shave by saying, in part, "No issus of negatory"(damage). What do you think of that phraseology, @Primotenore?
Sunday, March 2 AoS Rose Absolute~~H.L. Thäter Beehive~~Gillette New SC/Feather~~C.O. Bigelow Bay Rum The AoS is not going to last out the week. Haven't used the C.O. Bigelow in a while. Sadly, the 1401 ASB has been discontinued.
Sunday is a vareity day shave and MdC seemed like a good choice. Feeling lazy and I wanted a quick shave so loaded my Cobra Classic with a Feather Pro and finished off with my favorite lavender, A Taste of Heaven. Monday is back to work on this stubborn C&S, it is down to a few broken pieces and hopefully will succumb this week. My Koraat 14 2.0 double hollow is always a joy to shave with and from the way back time machine is a Whipped Dog brush. Feeling some I need a strong stank given the high winds, it is the King, Kourous. The should be smeeling me in the N Korea today.
Tuesday, March 4 AoS Rose Absolute~~Kent BLK8~~Gillette New SC/Feather~~West Indies Bay Rum w/Lime Bay Rum with lime...
This puck of Czech and Speake is done! I was doing some organizing and found this Supply injector and decided to give a go since I have not used an injector in many moons. Now I remember why it was in the back of the lowest drawer, it is too mild. It was frustrating trying to get to cut, it is going somewhere but I will not use it again. To sooth my frustration I doused myself in Leather Oud.
A week of variety starts off with Trumpers Cream, a good performer and a great scent. This wikely be my next 3017 target. A stainless steel Dovo that always seems to have an excelent edge make for a very pleasant shave. Stank of the day is Zoologist Civet, which does not have any civet in it to my nose. Still a nice a chyphre.
Wednesday, March 5 AoS Rose Absolute~~dubl duck #2~~1958 D3 Gillette Adjustable/Feather~~Terre Hermès Eau Très Fraîche A couple of more shaves with the AoS. The Feather blade is still going strong. Combined with the Fatboy, a spectacular shave ensued. Finished with a new stank, the discontinued Hermès. Bottle is big enough for a decade of dedicated stanking...
Thursday, March 6 AoS Rose Absolute~~Simpson M7~~Wolfman WR2/Wizamet Iridium Super~~Gucci Guilty Absolute This was "absolutely" a great shave.
