    Interesting. atm I will rinse dry and put away for a while. What would you say is the best way to keep the mechanism lubricated? I could baby oil from Johnson and Johnson or look to get some Singer sewing machine oil

    Very classy

    Lovely error free shave Joe, nice to think about others when it comes to stanks !

    Thank you Joe

    2 Days growth

    Cream/Soap = TOBS OUD
    Brush = Old Vulfix
    Bowl = white plastic
    Razor = Gillette No 15
    Blade = Henckels day 3, all good
    Passes = 3 lazy and very enjoyable passes to start my day off
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers rose petal
    ASB = TOBS Royal Forest
    ASL = Proraso with Oud
    Scent = Oud Malak

    Fantastic solid shaver, TTO mechanism is nice and solid. The pitting on the cap, although significant to look at, made no difference due to the super slick almost runny lather

    Have a fantastic day everyone

    Good morning.

    Stirling Alum Block
    Lucky Witch Hazel
    Dome Turf: 8 Days

    Did a 2 pass error-free BBS shave. Went with CC North because it's lightly scented and makes a very slick lather. I didn't have any alum feedback and finished this shave with my normal postshave routine. Take care.
    P. S. I finally posted a shave on time! Lol!

    Happy with my shave this morning. About 0:40 at the Loading Dock with the Boar brush(I forgot where I ordered it from). 2 healthy passes for a clean, clear shave. No damage. I'm getting well used to going North-South during most of the shave, maybe a litttle the opposite way down at Cactus Nation. I was going to do a review of Stoylin's Oud Sigma, but I saw I did one already(probably way back when I first ordered it). Nice close from the Agadir A.S. As Outstanding As It Gets.

    i use mineral oil,which is baby oil,only with scent and additives.both are food safe also..:):eatdrink047:the gold plating on yor executive should be far more durable than that on your late 1940's u.s aristocrat.that has a yellow lacquer over the gold finish that chips/peels with age,hense any mild crackling appearance on the razor doors.those razors are bad for that.your executive doesn't have said coating and is plated gold over nickel.the older razors(your u.s aristocrat) were gold plate over brass..either way,hot water and air dry should be just fine as well.wax recommended if there are any breaks in the gold plating.ie wher parts rub together over time..:)one needs to prevent corrosion between the brass and plating,especially if stored for long periods.conservators wax dries to a hard finish and makes the surface more slippery also..designed for british museums for protecting relics and such..

    thank you Chris.the bostonian was made to accommodate 3 hole blades just like the old types.many folks don't like the shave with todays modern thin blades( 1930's onward)..as long as one is careful they shave just fine.:):eatdrink047:

    Today's shave at 10:05 am was a 9.5/10 as I had to use dial 2 all over again as dial 1 was too due mild when used the first time through as very little hair was cut only about a millimeter or 2. Today was shave 1 on top/total for the FEIYU blade.

    Man is this blade feel like it has been used a bit then cleaned very well, almost as if FEIYU sold me used blades. With the FEIYU blades I probably will be lucky to get double digits on each side. I may have strop the blade to get more use out of the FEIYU if the blade dulls in very quickly like in the next shave or 2, I am at dial 3 I will strop the blade. The guess as to why I had to use dial 2, is based on the fact that very few modern Chinese brand shavers are made to a Gillette Adjustable dial 1 mild level, even with Chinese model adjustable most are 1--8 dial where the 1 is probably 2, bumping everything up on the dial by 1, so at least one of the Chinese brands might make a blade specifically for the Chinese brands of shavers.

    I used, as always, my H 2 or 1962 Gillette Adjustable slim handle shaver without the case.

    I shaved after the shower where I did keep the blade wet as needed. I did like most days a partial clean in middle of shave to keep going before the final clean at the end.

    1 day’s growth

    Gillette Labs (4)
    OUD
    Vulfix

    Quick shave, off to the Dentist so I held back on the scent

    Simple 2 passer, is this starting to drag on the 4th day of use? I think so…

    With its 5 blades It’s a bit clumsy to use around the moustache area and corners of the mouth, needing a different approach compared to a single edge DE razor, but still good for a more abbreviated shave

    Enjoy your day one and all

    Thank you Chris. My mature skin benefits from both the Age Defence shave cream & SPF15 Anti-Ageing Moisturiser as a deterrent against the Autumn UK north east coast wind, which is "a lazy wind,... it doesn't go round you, it goes through you"!
