This morning's was so bad I had to go again...

    Razor: '64 ball-end Tech
    Blade: '54 Gillette Thin
    Brush: VV badger
    Cream: C.O. Bigelow
    A/S: Pinaud Clubman

Not as close as the better/newer blades I've used, but much closer, and a much more pleasant *experience* overall than the Blue in the red tip this morning. Just for the sake of a complete comparison, I'm thinking of trying the Blue in the Tech tomorrow morning.

Very nice Chris! See you even went with the Avocado. I've considered starting the fly fishing quest,it seems to be getting pretty popular down here on the bays.

    Connaught Spearmint cream
The Shave Den Sub Zero splash

I couldn't resist an evening shave after this showed up... I loaded a skin friendly Crystal blade into my trusty HD and proceeded to get an excellent shave. I've been wanting to try a spearmint scented cream or soap for a long time now. The Connaught cream produces a lather similar to JM Frasers. The scent was great and it had just enough cooling to be pleasant on this warm winter Texas night. I might have a new favorite cream based on scent alone..

    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer

This Lord Super razor gives me fantastic shaves, and it's easy to use also, and not heavy. It's also a pretty mild razor. ;) :D

    Good Friday all...

    '51 Gillette Black Tip w/Dorco 301(3)
    Trumper Super Badger
    Cremo Cream/Tom's sc
    Thayer's Original WH/Murray & Lanham Florida Water
GFT Coral Skin Food ASB (sample)
    GFT Curzon Cologne (sample)

A fine combo lather provided a great base for the '51/Dorco pairing and three passes yielding a BBS result to start the weekend. Have a great day.

    Rooney 3/1 super
    Arko shave stick
Red tip with a fresh Crystal blade
    Master bay rum aftershave

I don't like rubbing shave sticks across my face - though I do prefer to lather directly on my face. So I mold the sticks into containers and lather as I would with a hard soap. I've found that an Arko stick fits perfectly in an empty Erasmic shave bowl.

Friday... trying to do to much with too little:

    Razor(s): '64 Tech/'57 Red Tip
    Blade(s): '54 Blue day 2/'54 Thin day 2
    Brush: VV badger
    Soap: Tabac
    A/S: Old Spice

The Blue in the Tech was less painful, but no less awful than yesterday. I had the Thin in the Red Tip after swapping the blades out, and went to it in desperation for the third pass when it became obvious that there was no hope for this shave. It really made no difference. All it did was kill off any further interest in using the old Blues or Thins no matter how new and shiny they may look.
