    F, L, I, and O

More specifically. I saw a tennis racket L3 (i think). No clue why it appealed to me.

The I2 but only cause hydro-magic name appeals to me. (hey I'm being honest, and its not like I've used any to actual know what I like )

The F and O types are pretty hard to find, the others are quite plentiful. The I types are my favorites but I really like all of them.

Off topic: are you really a Hoosier Trooper?
Never mind, I read yours profile..

    Thank you for your service.

I types are my favorites too....Although I don't feel like I have to have the Hydro-magic function, but I absolutely love this razor...and I do use the cleaning feature...But I've never met a Schick I didn't dig...

    It's been my pleasure.

I agree, the I1 is every bit as good, and usually easier to find and cheaper than the Hydro-magic.

Seems like I should also try and get my hands on an I Type one day. The only Schick in my life so far has been and still is my M1 Adjustable, which I have however been neglecting lately (it is awaiting service in my secondary den at the gym which I have not frequented in a while as my time's been filled up with a certain 5-month-old at home). The Cobra was the only SE with which I shaved (experimented) those past days, comparing the Feather vs. the KAI blade.
In fact, despite 2 days of sub-par shaves, I gave the KAI blade another opportunity this morning (it was the 3rd shave for this blade) and I really focused on maintaining the angle I thought was right and which I find to be slightly different from the angle I used with the Feather blade loaded (maybe it's not the case but that's how it feels to me). And what a difference that made. The KAI delivered its best shave yet this morning. I would not go as far as saying it is on par or better than the Feather Professional (I know, I am biaised [IMG]) but it was close and definitely a big improvement over the past 2 days shaving with this same blade.

The Cobra seems to be a little more angle sensitive than the Schick Injectors...Would you agree...?

More than one of our 'Denizens" sing the praises of the Tennis Racket L type...
Tom does a beautiful spread on one on this page: http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/injector-se-party.23113/page-53

I've used the Grip a few more times and have really grown to like this handle a lot.

Today I did a complete shave of my face and head with my OCMM and it was incredible. DFS close enough to be within arms reach of BBS. I have several cuts on my hands from working so I can't (won't) use my pre-shave otherwise I am sure it would have been better.

Hi guys, my favorite performer is the Hydro 500 & J1 injectors, I like the longer handles these two have and the shaves are smooth & fast. This past year has been dedicated to Injectors, not planned but I've enjoyed them every shave. My SE & DE razors just sit collecting dust, guess I'll keep them a bit longer and decide their fate after the Holidays.

Welcome Flyboy....You'll fit right in around here...;) I dig what you're saying and whole-heartedly concur...Also the damn things are soo pretty...The Golden 500's and 'J'types remind me of the Aston-Martin DB7...the I types are more DB4....

I most certainly consider Col. Schick a genius easily on the level of Camp Gillette....Gillette's genius was as much in the marketing, "false-leader", give away a razor and charge for the blades...he revolutionized marketing...
But Schick's genius was more in razor design...His first, the repeater was so far ahead of its time, its still futuristic...;) And he had patented the Injector design around the same time...and he nailed the blade angle from razor #1...no trial and error for him....And no one has ever designed a better designed shaver for my money since....and he dropped it and moved on to the first electrics before the first Injectors made the store shelves....

    He was quite the visionary...

Well written bird Lives, I even enjoy the Krona DE more than the Gillette SS, thought I do like the Fat-Handle and Ball-End Techs. Too bad the Injectors get so overlooked, though you still can find some bargains due to that fact, kind of a double-edge sword.

Its funny...at one time in the U.S. Injectors were more popular than DE's...But not in the rest the world, except Japan....Then cartridges put them both out of the mainstream...But the DE's were still the staple for most 'third world' shavers...Then with the re-birth and popularity of 'TWS" (Traditional Wet Shaving)...The DE blades were so popular in much of the world...so that's the system that naturally became the mainstream for TWS....Injector blades have pretty much been fazed out, except for Biopsy and Tissue sample slicing in laboratories...

When I rediscovered TWS a few years ago, I didn't even know you could still get DE or Injector blades....We really are so lucky to have so many wonderful options, for getting these great shaves...

Yep, the Injectors went from King in the U.S. to the 'red headed step-child'....Hey that's cool....Almost everyone I know who has been lucky enough to try one, loves them...All I know is...I've got mine and my stock-pile of blades....lol (insert evil laugh here...)...and they are a blessing...I probably should get a back up razor incase my Hydro-magic spontaneously combusts...lol...perish the thought...

I did a four pass shave today with my 1912. It was wonderful. I am starting to aim towards just focusing on the 1912 and getting rid of everything else. This is something I do with every hobby I have. At one point I had 900 fishing luresbthat I would take with me fishing. Now I take two poles and less than 20 lures, including plastic baits also. I had a dozen Coleman stoves and dozen Coleman lanterns, now I have two of each. I do have eight fountain pens and it will most likely stay that way but I did have 20 along with a dozen inks. Now I use four inks. I guess it's just me. I will most likely keep one DE though. Probably the Aristocrat that I got in trade for a Montblanc ballpoint.

I can only compare to my previous Schick M1 Adjustable, as I had no opportunity yet to try out the other models - based on that limited experience, I would say that the Cobra does not seem a little more angle sensitive when loaded with the Feather Professional blade. I did notice though that it is much more angle sensitive when loaded with the KAI Captain Titan blade (their 'PINK' one). Don't ask me why. With the Feather, I just latehr up and 'zoom', shave same as with my Schick. If I don't pay attention with the KAI though, that approach will leave significantly more stubble.

Bought what I believe to be a Eversharp G1 off the bay.

I know y'all said not to. Lol.

    Now to wait.

I guess I am going to have to get some blades as well. Just picked up 2 cased Schick Injectors as part of a 5 razor deal on the bay, also included a Gem, a Kenn Kutter (never heard of it), a Bakelite handled Gillete all cased. I will have to wait till I get them to find out what version they are. I've only been wet shaving for 4 months, mostly with vintage Gillettes, and a couple of old SEs. I can't wait to try one of the Injectors, its the last razor I remember my Dad using before he went to the trac II.

There's nothing wrong with a G type, just use enough pressure to hold the head to your face and you'll be fine, the blade angle will be virtually up/down, keep your strokes short.
