So due to a recent shoulder surgery a couple of days ago I decided to shave because i had to go into work today and it is difficult to shave with my opposite hand. I was only brave enough to do one pass and yeah I did an awesome job (there is sarcasm here...) On another note an update to my shaving before the surgery, still absolutely love the EJ. Discovered that I really like the shark super chrome blades went 4 days with out shaving used the shark blades and it was awesome no razor burn I nicked myself a little bit but I hit a bump and well yeah, also tried mixing shaving cream with soap and I really like doing that on a monday shave. So I just wanted to say thanks again for everyone's help!
Glad to hear you are having success with the EJ. Finding the right blade combo with the right razor = a great shave! Shaving with the opposite (weaker) hand is challenging. But think of how good you'll feel knowing that you're in that rare group of ambidextrous shavers! This will come in handy later should you decide to try a straight razor. Prayers sent your way for a speedy shoulder recovery!
Get well soon. I am extremely right handed. The only time I use my left is when I'm using my straight razor. I seem to get a better shave on the left side of my face too. Keep at it, you'll get better. I see what you did there.
I know what its like mate. I am 6 weeks post op from a massive shoulder op that was on my right side. And started wet shaving 4 weeks ago and it was very painful at first but managed to use both hands. Now I can just lift my arm long enough to do a full shave with my right hand. Keep at it mate, you'll soon be back using the right with no problems.
Prayers for super healing. Shaving left handed is not a big deal I do it every day . I can imagine how difficult it is to do without your dominant hand, I do not think I would have the courage to try it.
Same here. I still only use my right (dominate) hand to straight shave. I'm happy with the results, so no sense in trying to push it.
