    Brush: Vie-Long

Much better lather building today. MITA and the Gillette Yellow made for a good shave.

    Prep: Warm shower, Cetaphil Lotion
    Razor: EJ DE89L
    Blade: Voskhod (4)
    Cream: C.O. Bigelow
    Brush: Semogue 830
    Post: Witch Hazel, Cetaphil Lotion
    Aftershave: Brut

Another darn fine shave! It could be a little better along my jawline, but it was otherwise perfect.

    Have a great day!

Wednesday: (I forgot I had that week)
    hot shower
    ShaveSecret PSO
Gillette Ball End Tech 2+ passes
    Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum black (2)
    VDH badger
    GFT Violet cream (sample)
    Thayer's Lavender
    British Sterling AS

I hadn't forgotten the Ball End Tech I used today but since it's too mild for my beard it's been relegated to sitting on display with a NOS EverReady brush and a vintage Old Spice bottle. I hadn't forgotten the VDH badger either but I'm trying to forget buying it since it's my least liked brush (stinky and floppy).

Anyhow, I didn't really need to shave today since I just shaved yesterday but with Ash Wednesday service tonight I'd be too scruffy so I decided to give myself a touch up. The GFT performed wonderfully and the British Sterling has me smelling good.

Very nice shave this morning. I've had really good luck with Case made razors. I have 3 or 4 and all are good shavers. Have a good one.

Welcome home and thank you for your service. I don't take lightly the fact that it is because of the men and women who have and are serving that I am able to enjoy the freedoms that I have.

    3/5/14

Prep: Warm wash with Stirling Barbershop and application of homemade PSO
    Razor: Merkur 34HD
    Blade: Wilkinson Sword (1)
Lather: Van Der Hagen glycerin with remnants of Stirling Coniferous
Post: Cold rinse and Old Spice aftershave

I'm sure it is technique and not the razor, but my Merkur 34HD takes any blade I've put in it and does great. I've not had the greatest luck with the Wilkinson Sword blades with my Techs, Super Adjustable, Slim, etc but the 34HD does just fine. 3 pass shave with touchups on jawline and the edges of my neck/throat and I am ready to face the day!

    Blade: Derby (1)
    Brush: Isana Men Badger
    Cream: Derby (lemon scent)
    AS Cologne: Bond

Derby blade isn't as comfy as Rapira's but I had a nice shave anyway.

    3/5/2014 Tech Week

Prep: Hot shower with L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash, home made PSO
Razor: Gillette Travel Tech P2, Dubl Duck Goldedge straight razor
    Blade: Super Max Titanium (2)
    Brush: Turkish #6
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    After: Home made ASB
    Cologne: Grey Flannel

An easy 2 pass Darn Fine Shave +. I have had the Gillette travel tech for a while, but I had not used it. Even though the handle is small and light it performed well. I wasn't very sure about the Grey Flannel when I first smelled it, but it tones down nicely with a light earthy scent.

    Have a blessed day!

Have not used the Rooney Stubby for a while, so I broke out the Old Spice Cream since the Stubby seems to prefer creams. Got a super-luxurious prep going, and the super shave followed.

Yeah, the GF goes on STRONG, but dissipates nicely to the point so as not to offend. My wife loves the stuff —got my first GF bottle about 20+ years ago—so I am compelled to wear it now & again.

You've posted a DE razor in the "What Straight Did You Use Today" thread. I think you meant to post in the "SoS" of the Day" thread.

Beautiful razor! Seeing gorgeous SRs like that Dovo simply keep the SRAD alive & kicking in me….:happy088:

What is your opinion of the Institut Karite balm? I recently got a bottle of it and have been enjoying it. I do have to keep it away from my wife as she loves both the feel of it upon her face and the floral scent. My Impressions of Institut Karite balm

I really like the Institut Karite balm. I had to stop using alcohol based aftershaves, as they all irritate my skin and even some balms do. Institut Karit feels very nice and has a clean refreshing scent.
