1. I think that's the real reason they now have that razor with the built-in track ball. :(

  2. Sara not only cared about her students, but also wanted them to have fun in class. She was punny that way.

  4. Continuing with the thread hi-jack...

Sara, what subjects did you teach?
  5. Lettuce growing, carrot eating, and duck hunting. :D
  6. I taught biology and environmental science. I loved using puns as teaching tools.

  7. Mary had a little lamb,
then two and three and four.
    And each a perfect replica
    of all that went before.
The followed her to school one day
    which was against the rule.
It made the children laugh and play
to see her flock at school.
The teacher turned the woolies out
to wait the bell at four.
But when the children tried to leave
more sheep had jammed the door.
"What makes those lambs love Mary so?"
    The eager children fish.
    Says teacher, dialing 9-1-1:
    "She's got the Petri dish."

  9. My first day of High School. It was the best 9 years of my life.

  10. I like to think so. The fun part of punning is seeing the ones who get it immediately, explaining the puns to the other kids.

The other fun part is just messing with their heads a little.
  11. Two atoms are walking down the street.
Suddenly the first one says "HEY! I think I lost an electron!"
The other one says "Are you sure?"
The first says "Yeah, I'm positive!"
  12. So now the atom is electrolyte.

  16. bucking the trend I see. Well animal puns are in another thread. :D

  17. I should note I was too busy face-palming to formulate my response in the form of a chemistry pun...BTW, did you mean bucky-ing the trend...?

Also BTW, when I was doing undergraduate research we accidentally synthesized an yttrium 60 compound. Paper on it somewhere...

  18. While this thread has undergone a chain reaction, the neutron took charge of his alcohol problem. His attraction to bar-hopping has since decayed. Anytime he encounters a bar, he spins around and scatters. Positive thoughts now offset his negative emotions. He was literally beaming when I saw him.
