    ZCOLDWATER.jpg

    Nivea Men's Face Wash
    Proraso Green Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh WC3 Pure Badger
Merkur 37c Heavy Duty Slant (regular hammer)
    Personna Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Barbasol AS

The Proraso Green Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC3 Pure Badger Brush. Two passes with my Merkur 37c Heavy Duty Slant and a Personna Stainless Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Barfbasol after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Shave of the Day 2/20/15
    Pre: Hot Towel (X2), Noxema
Shave: C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream with a few drops of Glycerin. Edwin Jagger DE89 loaded with a Astra Superior Platinum Blade
Post: Cold Water Towel Rinse (X2), RazoRock Alum Stick, Brut Dominant mixed with a little Cornhuskers lotion, Nivea Post Shave Balm

Have to admit I didn't have the best shave today. I loaded a new blade yesterday and it didn't shave well. Shaved again with it today and yep, it's a bad blade. Many nicks and very bad neck irritation. I usually don't get that. The post shave combination of the Brut Dominant with cornhuskers lotion followed by the Nivea Post Shave Balm did leave my skin very hydrated and smooth. Man I love the smell of the Brut Dominant. The scent sticks around a long time too.

Saturday's face-freezing plans are as follows:

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/SuperMax Blue day 6
Stirling Glacial Wintergreen SS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Diana Sport Menthol Balm :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Alcolado Glacial Menthol Splash :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

There's a whole lotta menthol going into tomorrow morning's shave and I'm going to enjoy every single second of it. By the way, I started my new Glacial Wintergreen soap and at first it gave me some lathering issues, but I let it sit out in an open container for a couple of weeks and I find it lathers much better. I also use a dryer brush to begin with, and I add a bit of water after loading it for 25 seconds, then I add some more soap followed by a bit more water, and that really causes the lather to perk up nicely. The menthol effect from this darned soap is so overwhelming, and the skincare is perfect. The Diana Sport balm and the Penguin combined can wreak havoc on anyone who's not able to handle this level of menthol power. I'm hoping to get as smooth as I did today! ;) :D

    Enjoy the weekend, folks! :)

Thanks Jim. Don't know why I wanted one, but I'm glad I picked it up. The seller had a 1908 in exactly the same condition (plus a tiny crack at no extra charge) but I checked his site and it's gone! Now my RAD is saying I need something from the teens to round things out.

Since I normally don't shave on the weekends today was my last day of my first "1 razor 1 week" project where I intend to use all my razors for one week each this year - to, hopefully finally get down to 20 or so that will be sold off.

    Razor: Wilkinson Sword "Sticky"
    Blade: Polsiver SI
    Brush: SOC Boar
    Soap: Cella
    A/S: The Veg

    February 21 Plans

    Stirling Sheep Soap
    Feather Artist Club razor
    Feather Professional blade (day 2)
RV Shaving handle with a 24/46 mm Shavemac Two-band Silvertip knot
    D.R. Harris Almond cream
    One pass plus touch-ups
Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, & unrefined shea butter

My February goal is a close and comfortable two- or three-pass shave with this set up. Outside temps have been frigid this week, and the air is very dry. I'm experiencing more irritation, so I'm back to one pass shaves for the next few days. I suppose it could be the change in weather, particularly the extremely low humidity, or the fact that I've changed creams. I hope to sort it out over the next few days.

    Enjoy the weekend!

Same here. That is how I keep track of all my hardware and software. I use to record the quality of razor/blade combination but tired of that and just keep it simple now by keeping track the number of uses for each item that I own so I rotate them accordingly plus I keep the total number of razor blades I have which I admit is overkill.

How's the DR Harris in a stick?
First time using the DR Harris shave soap and Mrysol Plastic Shave and both were fantastic together. I now want to try some of their other products.
