SOTD Monday 3-9-2015 Gillette Tech w/Crystal Noxzema Seven Seas SC GP Scuttle Omega Boar Dickinson's WH GB Body Lotion Pinaud Draggon Noir ASL These little Techs are mild but very good shavers and were made all over the world. I got my first one given to me by my Uncle Sam in 1960 when I joined the U.S. Navy. It holds a fond spot in my life's memories and I still enjoy using these little techs even today. I have a number of them from England, USA and Canada. The one I'm using this morning is from Canada eh.
A very unique little razor DB! It might be small but, it appears to have a lot of Moxie in that little package. Nice write up in your review thread.
Prep - Shower / Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam towel Razor - Gillette Fatboy Blade - Polsilver Super Iridium (#4) Brush - Omega 20106 Soap - Arko with Pine Needle & Mint EO's After - Frozen towel / Alum Result - BBS Would say that the Polsilvers are a perfect match for the Fatboy. Really comfortable and effortless, especially against the grain.
SOTD 3-9-15 Razor: ATT M2 (first use) Blade: Astra SP (new) Soap: Captain's Choice Sandalwood sample (in glass bowl) Brush/Bowl: VDH Boar (used bowl to soak brush) Post Shave: Dickinson's Witch Hazel (wanted to try it) Seeing this is the first time I used this razor as I just got it today and I never used an open comb before today either!! I was surprised on how easy an open comb works. i am still new at this but found it just as easy to use as a SB one, maybe even easier! I did a three pass shave cause I took it fairly slow and wasn't sure how the razor setup would work. I was a bit scared as there was alot of blade exposed or at least it appear to be looking straight down at it. Anyway, the shave went well no irritation but I did get two nicks in the areas I get anal about trying to achieve BBS, which I have to quit doing that! I have to keep reminding myself to enjoy a DFS one! I only tried the Witch Hazel to see what the hype was and not sure if it works for me! It doesnt hurt but not sure it helps either! Thx.
TIME IN A BOTTLE Tic Toc Tic Toc Razor: Gillette 195 Fat Boy (f1) 1960 Brush: Vintage 1940s Badger Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue Cream: TOBS Coconut cream Blade: Feather (1) Watch: Seiko Dive Watch 1995 Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, Old Spice Still in my Time Machine, thanks Gary, so here we go. I picked up this bottle on a dive trip in Belize back in the 80s on a Thanksgiving trip. The Seiko is my other dive watch and has spent a lot of bottom time on my wrist, a long time ago. The allusive time ...... OK, whipped up the TOBS Coconut cream in no time, gives a great tropical vibe. Not wasting any time, just 2 passes WTG XTG on my face, and WTG ATG on my neck. The TOBS cream gives a nice cushion and smells great. No burn! And just in time, the Vintage OS tops it off nicely. More time to put in the bottle, to visit from time to time............

SOTD, Monday 3/9/2015 Frankenpuck shave soap/cream Semoque 1305 brush Gillette pre-war Tech Personna Lab Aqua Velva AS Been AWOL for a few days, been sick. At 67 years, I am too young to let a little bug get me down, but it did. Broke out the 1305 to give it a go and it worked just fine, about as well as my Omega. Dave
I remember getting loads of lather last time I used my travel boar =) it much better that one would think!

Tuesday morning's fun: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Sharp day 2 Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Alcolado Glacial Menthol Splash Chabrawichi 555 Cologne Milder weather is finally coming here after such a miserable, frigid winter so I'm going to be really laying the menthol on thick. The Glacial Lemon Chill soap is just the right ticket for a great, face-freezing, and most refreshing shave. Its lather is so easy to work up, and the scent is delightful - tangy lemon with a huge punch of menthol which can clear your nostrils. The Gold Bond/Penguin combination is one of my favourites for keeping that chilliness going. I'll be watching how this Sharp blade performs this whole week.
