Hello all, I'm a newbie to TSD and to wet shaving as well. A buddy of mine gave me a muhle saftey razor for Christmas and now I have to go to therapy to deal with all the anxiety of choosing various accoutrements. In all seriousness what a wonderful hobby that I'm having a ball with. Finally decided to settle upon lord super stainless, proraso white tub soap, proraso white pre-shave, and nivea sensitive post (love the smell and it works very well). My brush is an escali from Amazon not crazy about it but it works I may be looking to restore an old bake light that I have my eyes on at the antique store ( I appreciate the length of handle and the loft). Pardon my long winded-ness but it's good to finally share with someone, anyone. Again thanks for having me and good day to the forum!
Welcome and enjoy the ride! Lots of tips and ideas here along with a lot of very knowledgable people to help with any questions you might have. It's fun hitting the antique shops, garage sales and flea markets to see what you can find. My best razor was a Slim from an antique shop for less than $10, so have some fun and go hunting! :bang:
Glad that you landed here at TSD, @F4ucorsairplane! It is a great community of shavers. Join us on The Shave of the Day thread. That is the place to post your daily shaves. It is fun, and you will see all kinds of products. And please Mark YOUR location on the TSD map - instructions here.
A warm welcome to you from North Texas. You might want to take a look at some of the references contained in my signature line below for discussions of the 30 Day systems and more on shaving hardware and software. With that being said ... Welcome to the Den. We know you'll fit right in. So grab yourself a comfy chair, and give our threads a spin! Burma Shave
