Monster Block Alum...... I forgot when I last bought this but it has to be over a year.It is no longer a block,it's maybe a wee bit smaller than a sugar cube,and still going strong.What I like about this alum is,there's no sharp edges,I've scraped the dome on other alum blocks.The RazoRock Alum is also a winner for the dome,I use this when I travel.

I wasn't sure if I liked Astra SP,but I have to say the last 3 shaves were some of the smoothest shaves I've had in a while.Now I'm glad I bought 100 packs of em,they work real well in adjustables and my Super Speed.

The Gillette Goodwill is a nice mild razor for me even with a Feather blade. This version is built with Gillette "New" parts. There are many versions out there using "Old" and "New" made in the USA and Canada. I whipped up a thick warm lather in the OS Mug as it was sitting on a wash cloth, for padding, in the sink that was filled with hot water. Very nice two pass shave with some touchup. I really like this JB cream. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup some JB Balm. Finished with some vintage OS talc on my neck and then some vintage Old Spice. Look at that - it's just not possible for me to stay away from my Stirling soaps for more than one day. The Frozen Tundra has become a cherished favourite of mine with its delightful frosty, outdoor-type scent, rich lather, and it's just a couple of inches away from being what I'd call a hyper-mentholated soap because it packs a major frigid punch - in fact I believe that it's the second coldest soap after the Glacials. Needless to say, the Gold Bond gives me wonderful post-shave care and the Alt Innsbruck has a classy, manly scent with a truckload of menthol. I really enjoyed using my Goodfella/Derby combination, so I'm going with it again. It gives a very nice DFS+ result.

The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Omega 11137 Boar brush. Two passes with my Gillette Black Handle SS razor and a Gillette Rubie Platinum Plus blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

It was the first time I used the i Coloniali Mango soap and WOW - this soap is the real deal!
It often takes me a few times using a soap before I decide if I like it or not...w/in the first pass of using this soap I knew I loved it.
Amazing earthy/smoky scent, extremely easy to build lather, slick and protective - and in a great terracotta jar (all for under $2o)! This is a soap I will order again.

What worked well on Monday and again on Tuesday worked great today.(technique)
I got a BBS/DFS with "No Nicks or Weepers"
No Razor Burn, I did not need to used the Afta After Shave Skin Conditioner,
but it feels good in this humidity and heat.
I used Route 66 Bay Rum again,I have been trying out this soap. I liked it so much that
I will continue to use it this week, then on Sunday use another Shaving Soap.
Maybe after all of these years I have finally learned how to shave?
