Been splitting time between a Gillette 7 O'Clock PII and a Sensor Excel, both on aftermarket handles.
Had a decent and comfortable shave with my recently bought Mach-III Nitro power razor. I really love the strong high-frequency vibrations in this razor, makes the razor glide very nicely.
I'll try it sometime. I've been growing a beard all summer, but didn't let it get too long. I shave my neck and line up my cheeks with Somerset Shaving oil and my Gillette Rocket. I dare say that it gives me much better results than using a brush and soap. Maybe I'll see if I can get the same results from one of the Gillette Good News razors I found in my bathroom cabinet.
Used Gillette's flagship Fusion Proglide Flexball today, alongside my trusty Sensor Excel (Proglide on one side of the face, Excel on the other). My observations here.
King of Shaves Azure is my only other razor apart from the Merkur 37c. The cart is the travelling razor.
I don't do much travel lately but usually these carts last me two weeks when shaving every other day.
Today: Fusion proglide power razor with flexball handle Gillette foamy barbershop clean Omega syntex brush Brut AS with citrus notes (Eau De Brut) Close, comfortable and quite a pleasing shaving experience, I'd today.
Today: Gillette Atra Razor (actually its vector), loaded with schick advantage Cartridge Proraso sandalwood soap Omega syntex brush Old spice AS (hawkridge). Better shave than yesterday, I must say.
I used a mach3 sensitive today for the third day in a row. It's still shaving very nicely with no irritation. I generally do one pass with touchups to make my cheeks nice and smooth.
Is it a manual razor or has the vibration feature too? I love my Mach-III power nitro razor. Although, it is all about YMMV, but Mach-III power nitro performs way better than manual one.
I just use the original mach3 handle with the sensitive blades. I like them better than the original mach3 blades.
For you guys who use more modern cartridge razors like the Mach3 do you use the more traditional brush and soap/cream or do you use the canned stuff?
Sometimes Gillette foamy barbershop foamy (just because of great scent), sometimes shaving creams and sometimes shaving soaps . Depends on what kind of scent I want
