Hey folks, just joined the forums today.I am a member of a couple other forums and stumbled upon The Shave Den today.I am 9 months into DE shaving so far and the shaves keep getting better each day.So far my den consists of a EJ DE89.Merk 37c,and just today the wife surprised me with a iKon 101!!Had a fine shave this evening with the 101(maybe my best ever)loaded with a Ladas blade and The Blades Grim Smolder soap.Usually my go to blades are Astras and a rotation of RR and Stirling soaps.Look forward to learning some shaving tips and tricks from the fine folks on The Shave Den.Roger
Welcome to the Den! Maria is the lady that makes Blades Grim soap also makes TTFFC, and Maggards soap as well. I tried the TTFFC Forged yesterday and it was great. It is a black and grey soap which is not common, but the scent and performance is great so im sure the Blades Grim is good stuff as well.
Thanks Shavewizard!!!That is great info,I must confess,I broke every rule of shaving with my last shave.Every thing I used was new to me,from the razor and blade to the soap.Luckily I made it through with a fantastic shave.

Welcome aboard. I think you'll find this bunch most helpful, most friendly, and most enjoyable. What part of WV do you live? I lived in Wheeling for five years before packing up for S Florida.
About 30 minutes south of Charleston, little town in Cabin Creek (which is home to NBA legend Jerry West, actually kin to him on my father's side).
Used to stop in Wheeling on our annual return trip from western NY. Beautiful drive through your parts. Grand kids live near Columbus now but still travel 77 from Cambridge on down. Jerry West photos all over Wheeling too. If that's your bike in your avatar... Nice looking hog beast. A few other guys here at the Den are owners too.
