Do you have the label on the dial that shows where the adjustment point is or is the dial black on top?
yeah... I just do see anything happen to the blade when I adjust it like a gillette edit: LOL...Im a idiot, just looked again....this time on the UNDER side and saw how it adjust.
The blade is not supposed to move. The bar at the bottom moves towards and or away from the blade causing increased or decreased exposure. Not like a Gillette at all in how it works. If yours does not have the silver marker on the dial (the top of the dial is black), then when you turn it all the way counter clockwise the razor should be at the least aggressive position and all the way clockwise is the most aggressive position. If you have the silver marker on the dial then setting #1 marks the least aggressive position and setting #9 marks the most aggressive position.

Today we have somewhat of a stand-off.... The lovely 1924 Ever Ready Shovelheaded Beauty is holding her own! A marvelous 3 pass or 2 pass+touch-up....however you want to look at it... But, in all honesty....I've never had an easier, closer BBS...and I mean, in the words of one far wiser than I (@battle.munky )...To rub my face is really like petting a Dolphin...S-m-o-o-t-h ! My Schick L is up to bats this week. This shave was a homerun. First shave with the Jayaruh #16, too.
I missed doing a shave report yesterday. Here is the Reader's Digest version of Sunday's shave, "ER 1912, DFS". Today I switched to my Gem G-Bar and a fresh blade. I like this razor. While it doesn't give me much feedback, it still gave me a very nice two pass shave with just a little cleanup. No weepers or irritation. I look forward to the rest of the week with this one. September 14, 2015 During Single Edge SEptember I've shaved with four different Schick injectors for the first time (Type E, G, I and J) and had very good to excellent two-pass shaves. Today I'll be trying my first shave with a PAL Adjustable. Morning shave Hot Shower Soap: Arko stick Brush: Omega Pro 48 Razor: PAL Adjustable Blade: Schick Injector (China) (1) Thayers Lemon & Aloe Witch Hazel After Shave: Myrsol Limon Three day growth, so I'll do a three-pass shave. First shave - WTG - Since I've never used this razor before, I chose to ride the blade flat against my skin for most of the first pass. I had almost no feedback. Actually rechecked for a blade halfway through - it was there and cutting very efficiently. Second pass - XTG - I chose to adjust the blade a few degrees from the first pass. Slightly more feedback, but pretty quiet. Good result, left me in a great position for a third pass. Third pass -ATG - used same steep angle as last pass and was rewarded with excellent shave. Next best part - little or no irritation based on AS application. With the increased blade angle going ATG, I had even more feedback but not the velcro-ripping sound I was mostly accustomed to with the Schicks. BBS in spots, but I did not chase. Looking forward to more experience with the razor first. The great first shave with the PAL makes me certain there will be many more to come! Just wanted to show one interesting element for me when looking at the face of the PAL. I notice on the face, there is a beveled surface on it that angles down toward the blade. Don't know if this affects the shave, but there's something that made this razor stand out from the Schicks - at least after the first shave. Cheers! RT
