That's a lovely one - you will enjoy it. Definitely a smooth shaver. :happy036:

Finally, someone other than me to blather on about their D.

Definitely some incentive to experiment on your spare part C to test out the best way to polish gold plating without taking it off. :happy088:

NOW you know where I'm coming from!

But @Redfisher - if I had to lose, I'm glad it made its way to someone here at the Den and to such a great contributor to this thread and the SRROC thread.

except Red, you will of course notice that I was the last one to bid on it before you and obviously would be in a better position to cover your winning bid!

The Type D & F Types are Special Injectors for sure...Well... @Darkbulb is the only person I have heard say that the Type F wasn't anything Special..:scared003:

Don't feel bad Db....somewhere in these archives here at the Party.....StingRaysRock copped an F type and did a review and tried it a few times and said he was just not impressed....In fact, I think he preferred the E, G and L types to it...and I believe the PAL Injectomatic was his favorite injector....He kind of discouraged me from getting one at the time....Man, this YMMV factor can be a B!t$h sometimes...:D

OK....Found it! Heres the review, but there are also a couple shave offs where the F didn't fare too well....But thats the way the YMMV crumbles....lol!

Yeah its the YMMV factor for sure....The F Type is a bit of a Conundrum ...When I got mine I was talking to an Old Timer Injector user from the States & he said that whilst he took to it straight away many years ago.... There were many folks that found it way too Aggressive whilst others found it to be smooth & forgiving...The one thing that I do believe about the F Type is that its quite blade sensitive and if its not loaded properly it wont perform to its maximum potential...I have never came across an injector that's so easy to damage the blade whilst loading it...It has the uncanny ability to blunt or semi blunt a blade even being careful...I was warned about this from my Old Friend Martin ( Dodgy) from the States and it came to be a self fulfilling prophecy for me anyway...:p

Waiting on that PAL Injecto-matic to arrive..............
I told you a while back.....I would love to find a razor that could make my early E2 look like an Old Spanner......Ha ha....I've got my fingers crossed and waiting....:char039:
In the meantime I'm polishing up my Schick E2...Picked up some Chinese Schicks...and when that PAL makes the scene....It will be time to rumble!.....:kar:

Loaded the type F with a Dutch blade last night (carefully) and took it for its maiden voyage this morning. Billy was spot on with his assessment of these blades. These are the smoothest shaving blade Ive tried in a Schick razor bar none. I managed two ATG passes with zero irritation and BBS without the need for touchups.

Speaking of the PAL Injecto Matic - I broke mine out again this morning. A few cuts which is unusual so maybe the blade is reaching it's end of life. I've never shaved enough with a Schick blade to know their life expectancy. This was number 5 and I always do three passes and often touch up. Seems a bit early so I'll try it again soon. I'm really looking forward to replacing it with either a NOS Schick Super Chromium or a (gasp!) modded Feather. :D

My oldest had vintage shave number 3 today and I lent him my Floating Head. I'm going to have to guard it carefully as his first comment was, "Wow, this shaves so well!" :happy097:

I also did a shave off with my PAL vs the E2 - this was my take: http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/injector-se-party.23113/page-173#post-916832
