Of course a big dog like that will give a BBS in three passes but what about a small dog? I was thinking, if the toy breeds could be as efficient, they would fit in a smaller shave kit for traveling better... Now heres a great little travel whisker whacker:
I find that I get too much irritation with a dog that size unless I take the strop to him first. 50-100 passes usually works quite well.
Day 25 NoV I was traveling today so no time for a photo. I was pressed for time and only managed a quick two pass shave and out the door. Day eight on the same blade and Im noticing its not wacking whiskers as good as it was yesterday even. I was going to try to make it the rest of the month on this blade but dont think thats going to happen.
You killin me....I'm cryin ovah hee yah.... Whew.......Just don't try palm stropping......you might discover a tad more of that irritation.... Yo @Bama Samurai ....would this whole Beastiality Shaving Digress classify as shenanigans ?
After 29 consecutive shaves covering 40 days, I had to make a change. Well, "had" is too strong of a word, but "wanted" is more appropriate and I put away my Vie-Long brush and pulled out the old Omega 10066 boar bristle to try a bit of bowl lathering. The lather was so slick and shiny looking that I went ahead and applied it to my neck and cheeks and shaved off two days worth of stubble. That was enough to convince me to try this brush for the rest of 2015. On a related note, the winter beard is coming in quite nicely, although a bit itchy...
Thanksgiving Day's Dove Men Face Wash Tabac Shaving Soap Jayaruh #27 Silver Tip Gillette Super Adjustable Astra Super Platinum CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Rose Petal WH Aqua Velva AS The Tabac Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #27 Silver Tip brush. Two passes with my Gillette Super Adjustable razor and an Astra Super Platinum blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... Twenty-sixth shave of No Variation NoVember.
Day 26 - No Variation I made it another day (8) on the Chick blade. After getting a so so shave yesterday I was thinking it was time to change but today proved to be a lot better. Yesterday I was forced to rush. Today I took I applied Homemade PSO in the shower and let it soften the beard for 10 minutes before shaving and that helped immensely. I finished off with a splash of Ogallala Bay Rum, limes and Peppercorns which smells great and feels better.
Another stellar shave tonight! I did change up the aftershave and went with the cc cat 0 nine tails. Love the warmth. Loving this no variation NoVember. Great idea for a newbie like me to get involved in to hone my technique.
Well I had to have a variation in my No Variation November. I drove five hours yesterday to my In-laws house and made sure to pack my Feather AC SS in the case I bought just for this trip. Imagine my disappointment this morning when I started to shave and realized I forgot the TOBS Grapefruit. Oh well, out came the Arko stick. I just did a single pass shave WTG and got a surprisingly nice shave. The rest of the day has been pretty mellow. The turkey is starting to smell good! Happy Thanksgiving!
since I didn't shave really well I might just lather up and do a one pass + touchups with the russian I found in the Bow Tour box. I'm trying to decide.
I actually use it often as a hair tonic. It's been in my rotation for about a year. I really like it, but it is a bit medicinally scented.
I feeling for you baby, but I just can't reach ya.....Ha! I know you had plans for the grapefruit, but I just can't feel sorry for anyone who has an Arko Stick and knows how to use it.... And on top of that.....hmmm that Turkey is smelling good....Will be right Ovah!
