It appears what they may be trying to achieve is a more constant load on the head. Not having too much pressure. It would require a very light spring. JMHO Bunny K.

'Cool' futuristic vibe...no longer mine, but 'twas a nice adjustable... Still in the fold....Mühle R41 head with custom turned handle. Heavy, but very well balanced in the hand.
The Aristocrat #15 is pretty cool.. This is a Stahly live blade head on an Elite razor quartz handle. Real sweet shaver!
