Protector cartridges Made famous for having steel strings running across the blades so that you could literally not cut yourself even by sliding your finger across them. I keep one Protector in my rotation and love how it shaves/feels. Old commercial:
Thanks. Outside of adjustable TTO's cranked up that I use, I have a Gillette W2 code TTO Super Speed Style that gives me a close shave, but just had to get the hyped red-tip to compare.
It sounds like you have some good hardware there, but to round it all out, you might want to try a 1940/41 Gillette Ranger Tech, a 1946/47 Gillette Aristocrat, and a 1947 Gillette Super Speed. The Ranger Tech gives a wonderfully efficient shave, as well as the other two I mentioned, but in my opinion the Ranger Tech is slightly more efficient.

RaZorBurn123 I wanted to follow up with you on the fine brush. Outstanding is a word that comes to mind. Lately I've been doing face lather all the time and it excels at this. When I first pressed it to my face for this purpose It didn't immediately splay like my badger. Within seconds after adjustment I realized that for this one to splay it must be pressed with a bit more pressure initially and held directly straight whereas my badger splays at an angle. It creates lather upon lather effortlessly and spreads beautifully. I think it's partially responsible for my closer shaves lately because of it's exfoliating nature. Thanks!
Very good. I love synthetic brushes, they hold plenty of soap, soft, splay wonderfully and they dry very fast. I'm glad you're enjoying your new brush.
I'm waiting for a jar of B&M Fireside. My first purchase in three months! I may buy more things if I get a Maggard's gift card for Christmas!
