1. When did Springfield put a grip safety on their sidearms?

  2. They have always had it on those models.

  3. I just added a new Ruger LC9s Pro (no external safety). It has the new striker-fired trigger. I never thought I would say I like a Ruger semi-auto trigger, but this one is great. Accurate too.

The target was my first test run at 21'.

  4. Very nice! I've never liked any Ruger trigger I've tried so that's good to hear

  5. I will definitely be posting here! No shaver as this was taken prior to my manly shaving but here is my Ruger SR1911CMD

  6. Being from the UK where the gun laws are much tougher than the USA which I must say I'm very pleased about personally, even though I've owned many guns myself through the years mostly Shotguns for hunting rough shooting, I would definitely own a sidearm If I lived in the USA, I know absolutely nothing about 9mm handguns but I love the look of the Springfield XD9 so that's my USA side arm If I ever lived in the USA.

  7. I came from a family of hunters. We had shotguns to hunt waterfowl. My brother had several handguns. In Canada the laws are strict for restricted weapons such as handguns and assault rifles. There's no such thing as concealed carry permits.
  8. Now there's a man's handgun, a 1911 .45 ACP! I own a couple of .44 magnums, but neither are as accurate as my son's Kimber 5" solid stainless 1911 in .45 ACP.

  9. Thanks. This has been the best shooting 1911 I've shot thus far. Paired with a Wilson combat mag it's flawless.

  10. My son uses Wilson combat mags as well. The Kimber mags had a hiccup or two, but since he went with the Wilsons, no problems. It took a bit of tinkering with some handloads, but we worked up a load that will shoot one big ragged hole at 15 yards off sandbags.

  11. I love the 45 ACP but my 1944 1911a1 is a beast to conceal carry. I have carried many different makes, models and calibers but my carry gun of choice is the Glock 30s 45 ACP....... IMG_20151227_192602.jpg

I bought this BHP about 20 years ago and it's still one of my favorites!

  14. Glock 30, .45 ACP, because having to shoot twice is just silly...

  16. Stay tuned. I will either be buying a Springfield XDS 9mm or a S&W M&P Shield 9mm depending on which one I like better after renting them at the range.

  18. I own both (well, the XDs is a .45) and I find the ergos and trigger of the XDS to be more to my liking. The Shield is getting sold.
