A trip to an antique store over the weekend landed me this, I plan to use it as a blade bank: And then while at the grocery store I saw this glycerin body soap. Hoping that it will help with the dry Colorado air. But I thought to myself couldn't hurt to try and build a lather with it: It was as slick and cushiony feeling on my hands as any of my other shave soaps. Granted I didn't shave with it, but I think I could have easily. And at $1.99 for a 4 oz bar would make a very inexpensive shave soap.
As of right now I have mixed feelings. The top cap is crap, is it shiny? Yeah! It's thin and mine has alignment issues which is an annoyance to me. I don't like having to fiddle with razor heads before a shave. We'll see after tomorrow's shave. UPDATE: shaved with the Evahs this morning. Finally picked up a user grade PAL InjectoMatic on the cheap. After extensive cleaning it still has a couple of discolored spots on the head and it appears that someone held onto it with a pair of pliers at the top of the handle because there's a couple of bite marks in the metal. My only concern is that the bottom plate moves around a bit so hopefully having a blade loaded will take up the slack so I can shave with it.
So true. I never used my scuttle. As in never. It just took a lot of space and collected dust. I'm much happier with the 37C on the shelf. I will have to try it soon.
that was going to be my second guess lol. My nephew began getting into that when he was your son's age. (He's 18 now).
