Hi, I’m a newby here. I wanted to know about anyone’s experiences with a “Phoenix Shaves” Starling SE V2. I’ve just gotten a 1940 Parade Junior 1912 (stubby handle), but have yet to use it. I’ve got some coated blades on the way. The Starling caught my eye as a new style update and the price seemed very fair.

I did try several Gem razors eventually. I decided the blades just aren't for me. There are several guys who like them around here though.

I saw you post in an old forum in 2013 about GEM/single edge where you had just picked up a GEM Junior and were hesitant about trying it. I just got one from an antique store, and was wondering if you ever used it and have experience or comments on it?
