Keep in mind that different "glycerin" soaps have wildly varying ingredients. VDH is detergent (SLS) based, not actual soap, Mamma Bear's soaps...

Actually it is antibacterial in the underarm application. Prevents bacteria from growing, and the bacteria are what causes the odor.
