1. This lot just cleared the auction count down timer.
The box on the far right says Valet Auto Strop, but appears to be empty.

Not sure who the manufacturer with it turned marks down, hoping I can use it shavette style without the comb. 139945624124432to.JPG
Anyone recognize this one? With "a" box, but don't know if correct one. It'll be my third SE of the type. My other two are 1912's; American & English. 280889324124433to.JPG
Here's what caught my attention :)

Can't wait to see if the Stahly works. And some brushes.

  2. That is a 1912. But the teeth cutouts are all even in height. Most of them, the outside cutouts are not as deep. The only 1912's i have like that are my British and Damaskeene. Could be a Gem Jr.

    Just a wild guess.

  3. It might be this. An Admiration shapper. Made in Japan. [IMG]

  4. Agreed, appears to be an English 1912. The handle length threw me.
The one I have here is quite short. Hollow, too.

After reading the instructions on building a 1/2 DE blade holder from a pair of SE blades and epoxy I'll be ready next SEtember.
  5. The comb does look the same! Thank you Tom :happy088:

  7. Even if the Stahly doesn't work, put the head on a DE handle and enjoy the shave. They are really nice shavers. Nice haul.
  8. Looks fun.

  10. Late night shopping always seems to get the best of me. A month or so I had seen a cool knot/brush that @JR Reyes had, I thought the knot was a Game Changer? I had heard good things about the knot. JR schooled me on this new brush, something called a Tuxedo? I bought a Game Changer and since have searched for The Tuxedo. I found one last night, a gent out of Canada had the knot, I'm not handy with such things and saw he had a Brothers Bristle w/Tuxedo. Bam! I bought one.

  11. And now I'll soon have a Tom B400!! So dang excited..
  12. It has the logo stamp, but a fake name. Never seen this before.
  13. Hey Hey...that's awesome! Congrats Kerry. Both Andrew and Paul will be happy. I think you will enjoy that knot and find the tips to be super soft. It's more dense than a plisson.

Be sure to add it to the tuxedo collective thread.
  14. Here's one that I have coming inbound. It's a Wade and Butcher that looks to be pre 1890s. Can the age of it be determined by the logo?

I put a real low bid as there were just 3 pictures of it on eBay. I was surprised I won it! It could use a cleaning, but looks to be in decent enough shape.

I'm hoping that it's $10.50 well spent. We will see on Thursday!

  16. Yes, it's pre-1891 because it just says Sheffield with no England.

  19. There are a few single twins, but that was the first thing i noticed. H seemed really embarassed not to see it before offering it for sale (or doing the scale work). He made it right, maybe he'll get a good shave with it.
  20. Picked up this Gillette Goodwill for $20. It doesn't look too good but seems to be structurally very sound so am considering having it replated this month along with the other Goodwill I have.
