Having a 26 year old son who I got into wet shaving and I am his supply house is great! If I don't like it he most certainly will.
Case in point: I have 100 Zorrik blades that I can't stand (way to thin) and mamma sees it as a good deed.

I have a 2015 unopened 12" Robin action figure coming for Christmas for my 3 year old grandson.
Which will be opened on 12/24/16

 

They are a lot of fun! I've had some great shaves from these big old Sheffields. They look intimidating but are actually quite easy to use

It would have been the standard Gillette blade of the day. Gillette stopped all civilian production from 1942 through 1945 to supply the military. Started civilian production again in 1946.

 

I'll check on Neal's efforts - thanks. I live in a rather rural community and neither of the two grocery stores carry any DE blades - nor does the one drug store. That's the main reason I ordered a substantial sample of blades. First new blade test will be this afternoon in about 2 hours. Need to get ready for Friday night date night. For 46 years, the wife and I have gone out to dinner and drinks every Friday night. Except for when I was deployed while in (30 years) the Army. I have been using Merkur blades that came with my new 34C. I'm going to start with the Astra blades and Cella soap.

Since I really liked the BBS-1 razor that I got a few days ago I wanted to 'treat' it to a somewhat different handle in addition to the BBS-1 stock handle.
So I have one of James' Darwin inspired stainless steel handles on its way to me. I decided on polished as that would go best with the head.

Then...I remembered that I have a matte/satin Wolfman razor head...and decided to also get a satin Darwin handle....

So now I have two of these beauties on their merry way to me

Looking forward to how they will look paired.
