Oh, yeah, Duh! And Coors was a "banquet" beer. Apparently too much consumption of similar products earlier in my youth has impaired my memory of these things.

I'm feeling the need to get this done before the remainder of my brain ceases functioning after my recent interaction with @Bama Samurai . Nothing he did, but I'm clearly not hitting on all 8 cylinders. Or 6 or however many still run in there. Let's see if I can produce an intelligible shave summary. Let's see....I used a razor, blade, soap, brush. Yep, all good.

Three passes on 6 on the Fatboy tonight and the Crown Platinum responded with a smooth and near-BBS result. Alum was very quiet other than a couple of stings on the neck. Definitely an improvement over last night's milder setting with the blade. Maybe this blade is the king of the Lord family of blades. It does have a crown on its name, after all. Yep, time to shut up and regroup, I can tell.

Anyway, very nice result tonight and we'll leave it for tomorrow to see if it can handle the aggressive side of things.

 

I am pondering doing an Arko project, specifically how many shaves will a stick provide. It's probably 90+.

 

I would wager that it's probably close to that. When I got my 12 pack, I had no clue I was in for 3 years worth of good shaves. I have e PIF'd several sticks now. I still have a couple of years worth remaining.

I was almost ready to flip a coin. LOL I had my eye on the brush from the day it showed up there but the Futur was a tempting choice too just to have on hand. The brush, however, will see regular use in the rotation and I've wanted one of his brushes anyway.

 

My Dad has @Jayaruh #22 synthetic, and he gave up a badger and uses it daily.

 

Good choice. I think you'll be well pleased. These new synthetics can work up lather off a river rock. I don't want to go out on a limb. But I believe they might even make Marvy work.

 

Bold statement. I see a challenge in my near future.
